The Secret to Endless Energy: Cerus Flow Pro Review
Thanks
I've got the NB More Trail 2 and it's pathetic on anything slippery ... maybe the lugs are better on the 3 but I bet no comparison to those on the Trabuco Max 2!!!
I've worn my Trabuco Max 2 for a year now, on many 50k trail races, the latest with 2400m of elevation+, 2200m elevation-, incredibly steep and slippery mud/clay straight down at times where I just bombed past so many others who were sometimes even reduced to sliding down on their butts ... especially those wearing the Hoka Speedgoat (dunno why that shoe is so popular, it's only good for dry conditions!) Gosh I hope the 3 is just as good!!!
Awesome review! Just ordered the NB trail so this review really helps me. Planning to buy a couple more trail shoes so all this info is super useful! 😊
Thank you and Happy Trails!!!
Can these shoes be used for daily run or only for trail run
I'm sure you could BUT they'd be heavy and are lugged trail shoes.
Thanks for that just purchased my first pair and I wear and 11 but all they had available was 11.5 but I heard it’s best to size up half a size
For my track spikes, I wear 10.5, but 11 in road shoes and sometimes, 11.5 in trail. I typically wear heavy padded socks so this helps too. For perfect fit, you want one thumb width in front of your big toe.
How are these compared to the rebel v4?
Night and Day. FFX are like marshmallows on your tootsies
I just received it today and I will be using it in my gym session, next week, which includes basketball, rowing machine, assault bike, maybe regular spinning bike, or elliptical and I will be lifting weights too, so, it will be interested to see how I can push through my entire workout and not want to fall out afterwards.
This opened up a whole new category of vasodiolators. Several other like items on the market now. However, it's the quality of ingredients which puts ALL supps from Cerus Performance on the top shelf. Let us know how you like it.
Wish I had these in the army when we had to to those 5 mile runs
Little too much shoe for 5 miles. I could have used them on ny Army 20 miles back in the day.
I have half-marathon coming up in a month. I love Saucony pro 4. My PB is 2hrs 3 minutes for half. I’m debating whether to stick to pro 4 or try Alphafly 3. What do you recommend?
Excellent question and all the best, to a great performance in your Half. In short, your 2 shoes offer a totally different ride, as far as support, cushioning, and responsiveness. It all depends on what you are looking for and how each shoe had performed for you in the past. I'll be soon posting a video on my personal testing of most of the Super Shoes and how they worked for me. Keep Pushing and let me know which you choose and how you make out.
I’m thinking to buy these and just use them for daily run . I’ve tried them on at a store and they were super comfortable
Nice relaxed fit and plenty of soft cush for the push
You are an inspiration! I hope to run Boston one day soon .
To use the immortal words of The King, Elvis Presley, Thank You...Thank You Very Much!!!
Clutch. Thank you.
What does Clutch mean here? Thanks for what?
Absolutely love the 20's on my second pair in the same colorway you have😂
Super cushioning!!!! Keep Pushing
What race day shoe would you recommend for heel strikers?
I'm loving the NB SC Elite V4 eight now. I'll be wearing them today in the USATF 20K CHAMPIONSHIPS. You want to find a shoe that has both good heal cushioning and an aggressive heal rocker.
Can I run with it on grass, light gravel or dirt?
It's your shoe...wear it where you want. But, it's a road shoe not a dedicated trail shoe
Very nice review of these two shoes. I have both of them and see pretty much the same things that you have mentioned. I usuly use my fresh foam more v3 more for training. I found running in the trabuco max2 I have it easier to run faster. Like your noledge
Thanks
I'm US 11 in Nike/Adidas. For Novablast 4 I'm planning to buy a wide version, do you recommend a half size down for wide version?
I would assume that the length would be the same as others you have. Meaning, a wider version is only wider. They will not make the shoe longer. Let me know how you make out. Keep Pushing 🫸
Sir, Can I use for 20km Racewalking
I'm sure you could. I've never done that, so, I'm only assuming. If you have a VERY fast pace, you may want to look at a carbon plated shoe for additional responsiveness. Keep Pushing
Hi , Does the upper break in a little overtime? Thanks
Yes...BUT...because of its almost corduroy-like fabric upper and supportive structure, it will take probably 50+ miles to stretch. Keep in mind that the supportive dynamic is one of the high quality features of the shoe. As long as you have the correct size, this shoe will help you to definitely Push The Run 🏃♂️
@@pushtherun thank you! Got these in US9.5 lots of allowance on toes , a bit snug but manageable fit on the sides , hoping for a little loosening up. I wear usually US9 in adidas Thanks and more power Subscribed !
@glennsantiago4003 Another option I found was changing the laces to either normal or stretchie laces as opposed to the crappy plastic laces that do not stretch at all. Keep Pushing!!!
@@pushtherun will definitely try this one.. thank you again!
Run on these all day comfort and awesome grip
Yes, comfy is good 👍
Best video comparison! 🎉
Thanks for watching!!! Stay tuned for an updated vid and even MORE in-deprh
Hello Dr. Dave. Any new videos coming up in the future?
In the works my friend 🧡!!! I've had a few MAJOR life issues happen the past few months, which took Coach Midgie and I offline. BUT, we've relocated, we are in the process of rebuilding our lives and business, and now Coach Midgie is training me up as a Pro Para Runner. Any specific vids or information you'd like to see?
Thanks for your honest critical opinion
Thank for watching. As I always say, what works or doesn't work for me isn't the same for everyone else. For me, it's finding that shoe with the best cushioning and energy return while providing support ad needed. What's the best shoe that works for you?
@@pushtherunI don’t run that often, but I wear Nike Epic React Phantoms which are very comfortable. I wish I would have bought a second pair, because mine start to fall apart in the toe area.
@@Creepiify Keep Pushing The Run
How is this different from the 02 trainer?
Thank you for watching. Which is the O2 Trainer? Who makes it? I know there is no other Airofit model named O2 Trainer. Keep Pushing
Did the follow up (results) video ever get made/published?
Thanks for the message. I had to take a 3 month break off the channel due to a few major life issues happening. I just relocated from South Carolina to Massachusetts. Over the next week, Coach Midgie and I will be setting up our new video, photography, and podcast studio. This shoe test series is one of the first we staht working on next week. I either have already sone of new New super shoe models and 6 in the mail right now. Over the next month, we'll be posting several shoe testing vids. In September, we should be getting a VO2 Max testing system for more accurate stats. Many other exciting projects are on the horizon. Stay tuned!!!
@@pushtherun I hope all is well and I’ll look forward to those videos. Thanks for your approach to what you do.
@keithc1264 All is good "now" that Coach Midgie and I relocated to Metro Boston to live the life of a Pro PARA Road Runner and content creators covering the greater Boston and New England running scene. We will be cranking out vids FINALLY starting this week.
This is awesome to hear! Keep up the great work 💪!!!
Stay tuned in for an updated video on this. Also vids on other groundbreaking products CERUS PERFORMANCE has created that have boosted my performance to National Record Breaking level
I run on the New Ballance More Trail V3 Fresh Foam. To me, they are like having monster trucks on your feet on the trail. The 5mm lugs claw up hills and over any terrain. The downhills are handled just as easy as these cloud kickers feel like running on a cushion of air, especially when you're in full gait. The upper does a great job of locking the foot in place, and the heel pocket feels solid. The only beef I have on the vibram outsole is the 5mm lugs on dry rocks and ridge tops can feel like your peeling your foot off of velcro. But a great all round shoe for sure. I give these a 8 out of 10 overall I really enjoy the ride and feel.
Exactly...just like I said. Thanks for watching 👀
Top vidéo I was struggling to take back the x more as I had some noise from the midsole appearing after 250km. That’s due to the implementation of the lugs on these kinds of lips which create noise after some times. The lips rub against each other making noise. But they are fantastic shoes so I order another pair as my first par has been reimbursed. Let’s see what happen with the new one. I’m weighting 99kg so maybe the origin of the noise. Curious to see if anyone had the same problem.
I'm not understanding what you mean by "noise"? What is it that is rubbing together?
@@pushtherun sort of squeaking noise as the ruber from the lips supporting the ‘crampons’/lug rub against each other.
do you wear the same size of these as other Sauconys? I see some one suggesting going half size down for this model
Yes. I wear men's US 11 in all shoes unless the brand says they run big or small and a half size adjustment is needed. Keep Pushing!!!
Absolute legend 🙌
Thank you My Friend!!! Keep Pushing 🫸
very inspiring. someday i wanna run the Boston Marathon too
You should!
I love this shoe on the track. The bounce is amazing at faster paces. My only complaint is the firmness at slow paces when running on the road. I prefer a softer ride when going slower. But for speed…these are the ones 👍🏽
Totally agree
Anyone know if this is stabilty shoe?
No it's not. Most, if not all, super max cushioned shoes with such a high stack, will not be built for stability. Too Much cushioning
Why can't you try new balance rebel 4 🤔
Not a shoe I would personally buy for myself. If you want to send it to me in men's US size 11, I'll try them.
Just got my first Ke4 bottle can’t wait to test it.
Rocket Fuel!!! 🚀
Thank you sir ❤ from India
Me Pleasure 🙏
All the speeds are excellent 👌
Great, honest review. Thank you! I’m experiencing most of what you described. I’m going to return mine. Not for me.
How did you make out?
Yes, Fartlek training workouts are tough. Love the shoe.
Being able to hold pace just below the upper limit for a fartlek run is key. Master that, and performance will skyrocket
Great info
Glad it was helpful!
Would do you think would be better on technical trails?
The Asics Trabucos have a better lug system for tech trails. The smaller quarter to third of an inch lugs grip the terrain better.
Hi, what shoes do you recommend for a 100kg runner for a 3:30h marathon? Heel/midfoot striker
First, shorten your stride to consistently land mid foot and not on your heels. The more heel striking you do, will make you have to work harder to hit 3:30. Think of heel striking like stepping on car brakes. Racing shoes are very personal in how the midsole foam allows the runner to achieve the most energy return. It is near impossible to say which shoe is best not knowing where your performance and times are now.
@@pushtherun Thanks!
Fart Lick workouts 🤣 subtitles done you dirty there
OOPS!!! Or, was it on purpose, Thanks for watching
Doing it again this year?
Nope. I moved to Boston to run with the Champs
I have flat feet and I'm quite heavy, I love Forrest running it's relaxing , refreshing and I encounter deer and more in my nearest Forrest, my currenta Hoka speedboat 5 are super but honestly as I run more & more I feel the need of more cushioning.
Had the same approach. First speedgoat then NB x more … wouwww why did not jump directly to the NB they are much more confortable. I’m weighting 99 kg ans need cushioning to absorb the impact.
I think you meant Speedgoat? This shoe is more of a racing shoe. Yes, for training, a bit more cush, mostly on trails, is needed
Same foam used by chinese brands i noticed
Or, are the Chinese using the same foam some of the top American and European brands are using. There are only a handful types of foams. Of course, many will use the same. The magic is in the foam density along with the carbon plate design and placement
It’s not at all.the foam itself is a completely different material.the way they fused the foam together is what makes it look like that.
great review! Since this shoe is not for heelstrikers, what do you recommend for them and 3:30h marathon runners?
The shoe that fits the specific runner the best and returns the most energy.
best review i've ever seen 💯
Flattery will get you everywhere
First endurance gel
Very Good!!!
