Сашу Трусову любят многие критиковать за "читерские" прыжки, хотя тулуп у нее ничуть не хуже мужчин-одиночников, и по прыжкам Ани Щербаковой также любят многие "эксперты" проехаться. При этом у топовых мужчин-одиночников, если присмотреться и придраться, также можно огрехи найти и при этом никак не наказываются они. Раз допускается у мужчин-одиночников оптимизированная техника исполнения прыжков, значит, никаких претензий к Ане и, тем более, к Саше с ее отличным тулупом быть не должно. Или же поголовно всех пусть независимо от флага и прошлых заслуг наказывают.
He lutz didn’t really change..
2:12 seems outside edge to me. Seeing this makes me believe that changing technique so late is difficult to do. Some of her lutz jumps in the video are shaky and she popped couple of them.

@@Bebe-ge2te lol on second note after checking it in slow motion it's flat - slight outside edge. Well it is the best that she could ever do. I miss this era of figure skating.
it did. a little bit. she used to rock her body to get an outside edge but only for it to backfire and go into an inside edge but the 'rocking' motion kinda lessened.

Exactly! It's borderline underrotation of 90 degrees at most. It can get a call but you can argue on that.
Please check Rika Kihira's Lutz and Flip ! It's clearly "toe" Jump and the edge is amazing !

I get the part where shoma pre-rotates and stuff but what I don't get is the cheater part. how is he cheating? like someone please explain.
His pre-rotation is so big that he takes off forward and that is a definition of a cheated jump. And he gets full credit for these jumps, sometimes with positive GOE. That makes him a cheater, but probably not an intentional one.

+vn ln it's just a silly word I made up. At sporting events there is a the giant scoreboard with a screen on it called a Jumbotron and everyone watches the Jumbotron for replays so I just mixed the word jump in their. Plus it sounds like a futuristic machine or something. :)

yes i understand the concept of pre-rotation thank you and i disagree with your assessment. Shoma's 4F here pre-rotation included in under the quarter. If you watch his blade when he leaves the ice and then when he lands, it is clearly a quad, i have to agree certainly not his best but still. As for 4Lz he's never gonna do it because he dislikes the lutz and gets edge calls half of the time on them. Why is Yuzu never gonna do 4flip? Same because he dislikes the jump and used to get edge calls on it. To answer your question, I think the rotation as a whole should be considered. Not only under rotation.
i cannot be convinced because your assessment is false. I don't disagree Yuzuru's jumping technic is fantastic and better than Shoma for sure. But if we are talking base value, then Shoma should get the base value for the quad flip since he did one.
I'm surprised anyone wouldn't want to give Shoma credit for that 4f. Y'all are being a bit stingy!!

I might, but I would definitely not give him positive GOE for it :/ but since it was TCC and the judges were giving out points left and right, I'm not upset about it. Though I hope the GOEs for that jump will be a bit more strict in official ISU competitions.
I like Shoma but that wasn't a Flip, that was a Lip. Right blade flat on ice and 3/4 prerotation BEFORE take off. A Flip is a ToePick assisted jump. That means the hardest part when taking off should be on the left inside edge (if skater spins against the clock) and 1/4 maximum prerotation before totally lifting the weight using the toe pick to catapult the skater into full rotation in the air. Long story short: the first rotation is 1/4 (or less) before launching and complete the rest fully while soaring.
Amazing. They definately jump the 3T different in combination than if it were a single 3T. The cross-over leg toe pick. Some use the dug-in twist on the toe pick to catapult themselves into the air. 'Do you have examples where the 3T is properly done in combination?

So what, it is unclear what the author wanted to say by this video. Well, almost all jumps in fs are performed with prerotations. If the author suggests that skaters in the video have the biggest prerotations, this is nonsense. Misha Kolyada and Max Aaron have sufficient height in jumps.
+Александр Климов prerotations is natual but where is the boundary 180 degree? 270 degree? 360 degree? and shoma uno has a big issue his jumping problem is not only prerotation but his toe jumps are cheating look at his right foot is it ok using full edge when he toe picked? IMO his flip jump is loop jump no doubtly
+林群偉 I think, more than 180 - this is not normal for anyone jump and should be punished by the judges. Uno jump technique I do not like. In my opinion, he has especially bad exits with 180 turn and touching by free leg of the ice.
+Александр Климов I just wanted to make a fun video that showed how skater's PreRotate jumps. I honestly don't think any of the jumps are that bad and I'd score every one of them with full BV but Yuzu deserves the highest GOE which he usually gets. People seem to pick on the ladies about PreRotation issues and as the men became the topic of a thread at GoldenSkate I just made the video to add to that discussion. I tend to be more lenient on skaters.
shoma's jump is not 4f，it's 3 floop，it's the seventh kind of jump

Even though prererotation is to be expected on all the jumps, Kolyada and Hanyu have a very small prerotation on their quads, and they are perfectly backwards on the landings. Wonderful technique from both of them :D Shoma's technique is tough in the body, and he still doesn't display the control on his jumps that some of the other top skaters do. It would be best, IMO, to seek someone who can help him fix his jumps. Because, as he attempts new quads, the risk of injury increases, specially if the technique is flawed. I hope he can keep working on it :) Thank you so much for the video, Sam! It would be amazing if you could include other top skaters like Javi, Patrick, Boyang, Denis etc in videos like this one ^_^
