why not install a bigger power wire from the battery to the trunk, split in into one for the sub, and one to a relay then to toggle power on/off with the relay, the head unit's switched power can do the job, as it should turn on when the ignition is on this will ensure you got a lot of power to anything that needs it, and you don't need additional cables in the fusebox if you decide to do this, make sure to use a fused split block to protect your car, and for the sake of actually knowing what you do, make sure the fuse works as a fuse, and NOT the cable. the fuse should NOT allow more power to flow than the cables are designed to handle for example an 4 AWG cable will generally handle around 100 Amperes well in a car like the Passat, as the cable has to be around 16 feet. CarAudioFabrication has good videos about cable sizes and fuses I drive a 2011 VW Passat with 1.6 TDi engine, manual transmission, wagon, and there's really no other car I would have. Passat is the best cars! :D it's because of my Passat, that I found your channel, tbh
