Why are Australians good swimmers? I think back to the 60s when I was 3 years old, my uncle picked me up and threw me into a pool and said swim or sink. He did that to all the other kids attending the gathering. In today's world, he would be arrested for child abuse but the point I am making is this..Just about every child in this country ends up in a pool one way or another..even though we are a small nation in numbers..we have high numbers engaging in the sport..anyway, enough ranting go you good things... I'm predicting 8 gold medals on the conservative side!
