Howdy! I am a CT technologist in the States. I am here to share a space where we can learn and bounce information about radiology together. Learning comes with teaching, and teaching makes us better at what do. Stay passionate friends!

A great resource for technologists in the radiology field. This was when I signed up for ASRT in 2023.

A new verbiage that I feel is more effective to explain CT contrast; especially to bring ease to pediatric patients.

DO's and DON'TS TO NOT END UP AT THE HOSPITAL
I can't stand GE scanners. The post processing is really where the nightmare is at. And built in scanner delays for contrast injections are dumb. What if the person tries to jump out of the gantry?? Your first response will be to run into the room to help them before they hit the floor, then the scanner will start scanning automatically while you're in there trying to keep the patient from hitting the floor. If you can't time CT scans on your own, then you shouldn't be doing CT IMO.
Omni Made my kidneys hurt..after a liver mri scan
I remember doing these on a toshiba 64 slice scanner and we used 150 houndsfield units to trigger off the pulmonary trunk using the roi. Thanks for the video. Very informative and refreshing.
Thanks for the tip. I appreciate it.
Not clear info
Thank you very much for sharing! Does the dual syrringe kit for Stellant CT dual injector comes with 1 short spike and 1 long spike or 2 short spikes?
The dual should come with two. One spike for each syringe. The spikes are the same size. At least for the ones Ive used. I'm not sure if they are considered small or long... They are identical.
Don’t get me started on the ARRT 🙄🥴
Oh no!
So to add a delay for trauma, would you press repeat series?
Yes, that way will work as long as you keep track of your timing. Another way would add it onto the scan plan when you first set up.
Transductor de 7 -10 Mhz
Gracias
Why do they make GE software so impossible to figure out on your own??? I've used Toshiba for 8 years and it's a night and day difference. I can't stand GE.
Please how to do more scout images , or scan in cases of biopsy or epidural injections
Hi isn't it safer to just track your SVC then start next scan?cause you know some systems already have 2-3 sec delay so the contrast might exit pulmonary by the time we scan (if our ROI is already on the pulmonary trunk)
Why does this sound make my teeth hurt ?
Yeah, it was pretty annoying and I had to walk down a very long hallway hahaha
sorry I want to ask, if my research is about kernel variation to see its effect on image quality and the data is taken using GE CT Scan aircraft, where is the kernel setting. thanks for your help.
I'm very interested in knowing if these contrast agents are processed by the kidneys and removed from the body in a couple of days?
Please Reduce background sound
Thanks for your thoughts and information, I appreciate it. I just got my 10-year CQR notice from ARRT, so I'm looking over my old books and notes also. Like you, I also primarily work in CT, and it's my understanding that we have to do a 10 year CQR for EVERY modality we are licensed in. So I assume I'll receive my CQR notice for CT in a few years (I've been in CT for 4 years).
Thank you very much
You're welcome!
Ma'am, if we try to reconstruct any data the we acquired during examination are we have any limit in start and end location?
Last time I scanned the head and chest together and I planned that after scanning the head and chest I will just reconstruct them in order for me to separate these two structures but I was shocked because I couldn't reconstruct them.
You'd have to go to the raw data and separate them using your FOV. Its similar if you want to pull a T spine from a chest scan. You have to go change your field of view and your algorithm to match the area of interest
There shouldn't be ... If not all the anatomy is on there change your FOV
COULD YOU HELP ME? I HAVE A GE CT 16. WE JUST STARTED MAKING THEM. DO WE NEED TO DO A CALIBRATION EVERY DAY?
Yes, for the DAILY CALIBRATION and make sure to keep the tube warm before use.
Good
I have a question can Asian become Rad Technologist in America. If yes then can you make a vedio on it or can explain in a commen?
What CT ANGIOGRAPHY exams can we do by ge 16 MDCT machine please 🙏
How to record and save a voice note for breathing instructions please 🙏
Thank you so much ❤ Is there any guided dose limits for different CT angiography protocols please 🙏
Had a patient ask me if the Isovue contrast was gluten free 😮
Kindly make one video for making perfect ct protocols
or u can just use one syringe for 5 ppl just like us in 3rd world countries
I've seen the ones where they use one syringe and change out the tubing
@@RADKhammanyya we change the tubing but still...
What kind of program did you complete? Radiology technology?
Radiologic Technology Associates Degree Program

What is scan direction in upper limb Angiography?
Thank you
How can i recon coronal for a whole body ct? I cant adjust the length so that i can get the whole body?
You have to change the field of view first FOV. Increase your number
Hmmnnn. Chemically, everything that contains carbon atoms is organic. Iohexol has carbon atoms too, so it is organic.
It is an organically bound iodine. Iodine is a mineral but it is bound to an organic compound. Easy answer, no iodine is a mineral.
It would be great if you could do this lesson in English 🙂
It’s difficult to understand if I don’t see it on an actual scan. Which I know is hippa but I don’t follow completely. I’m a new tech btw.
I completely agree, but that's the best I was able to do at the moment. Best of luck to you and your journey!
@@RADKhammany thank you! It will all make sense one day to me. 😃 I’ve actually seen a few of your ct videos. They do help overall! 👍
Stop smacking when you eat
Nothing happens when I click the rotate button. Any idea why?😅
Not sure... Maybe it's not part of the software??? That's too bad
🙏🏾
What does "jumping the fence" mean/do on GE?
It pretty much means ... Stop, go back and reset your parameters.
Ma'am, can we retrieve deleted images in CT SCAN MACHINE CONSOLE?
Normally, if the raw data is available it is possible to make a new series.
Thats exactly what I did on my X-ray and CT boards
Nice! I'm sure you rocked it!
I am a new CT tech and I am struggling with reformats, when bone and soft tissue windows for coronals or sag..?
Bones are normally done for concerns for fractures and soft tissue is normally for organs and tissues.
Murderers! Gadolinium is highly toxic to the human body!!!!😡
Salient!

Hello, please I would appreciate videos solely focused on the planning side. With your camera focused on the screen to see your recons, how you calculate your time, how the scan goes on inferior to superior and vice versa. Thank you
