Hello. I just subscribed. Im curious what area would you suggest to do a hunt in I am planning a 4 or 5 day backpackhunt early december. I was interested in the high peaks area just because of how it looks but really open to any area with a better deer population. Any suggestions?
My goals for a backpackhunt would be to access a remote area that I can’t get to in a day hoping to come across a bigger illusive buck. Deeper areas I would like to go are West Canada lakes, Five Ponds, and high peaks. There’s not usually going to be more deer out deep, but you will find more sign around water and low lands. Snow really helps to determine if you should keep hiking or set up camp, hopefully you can catch some good tracks!

About 32k total, but 8k of that was custom windows.

Dude you're crazy. ADK deer numbers are nothing compared to Ohio. The difference is we get to hunt bucks over huge tracts of wild country. Cut a track and go. Awesome video. To those of you that think there's bucks behind every tree in the dacks give it a run and get back to me. I stack up Adirondack trackers with any hunters in the country. Awesome video boys!

Awesome video, guys. I enjoyed it. I wish I would've weighed my 8-point this year. I got 65 pounds of good meat out of him, I know that. Can anybody out there guesstimate my buck's weight from the meat weight?

I got 68 pounds of meat off my buck that was 162. It was a heart shot. It was also the last 2 days of the season when they are pretty run down.
