Hello, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Do I put my real government name or can I put my stage name ?
Thank you so much for this video! 😊
How do I sign up for Backstage if I am under 16? I just want to make sure I am putting the right information in for the profile
As far as names, what about actors that use "one" name? Can you put that name?
if anyone is in Los Angeles, id love to work with a videographer
What about if you are just starting, you have no footage I have training and a bit of stage work but no video footage as such what are my options without them I can’t get cast in anything… should I do monologues etc?
do monologues man
write material for yourself and find a group and create small films.
At timestamp 3.00 the speaker talks about Uta Hagen, not the mythical Buddha Huygens indicated by the subtitile.
Thank you so much. Information is very important and everything is on the case.
Thanks man, really appreciate what u try to show future actors
For someone who's new. What special skills examples are specific to casting directors or theatre vs film vs commercial?
Love your energy. Thank you for this.
me: *has no interest in starting a voice studio* also me: *taking notes* hmm good tips
I really enjoyed this breakdown! Jekyll and Hyde is my absolute favorite musical! I’m fortunate enough to have worked with both Linda Eder and Christiane Noll in voice and acting lessons and they are both stellar at what they do. I’ve learned so much from them. I learned how to belt from Linda using Lucy’s songs and I’m currently working on “acting through song” with Christiane. I’m hoping to work on Emma’s material next!
“It is so obvious when actorsssIjustspilledcoffee” not faking it, real coffee everyone 😏😎
Oh trust me. It's always real coffee.
Nice video! Love the energy!
Question 11: Which two words are never uttered in a pit orchestra?
Ho ho ho, more like MacDEATH.
Wait, what - SHREK?
Did you still think we were doing Wizard of Oz?
Did you try a sponge?
Upcoming video. I promise. There will be sponge painting.
Yes! More woodworking videos!
Where is the dog?
Let's be real: Nate says "Uh" more times than Scrooge says "Humbug."
Whoa! That’s super smart!
Bro! It’s totally Sunday.
Yes, but it was posted to instagram on Tuesday... our channel on UA-cam wasn't really "live" when it was posted before...
It’s highly possible that I miss your face, so I’m happy you’re doing videos again.
What’s your beef with vacuums?!
I have never seen you wear a hoodie that isn't black. Is this one of those deepfake videos?
I have multiple hoodies. The gray one got added in February. Don't worry, the black one will reappear in future episodes.
Have you done "Beauty and the Beast?" I'd love to hear about it! Comment below!
Never been in B&B, but I’ve coached leads.
@@kelbarham Coaching totally counts :)
I love the set!! Reminds me of how your office looked during out first sessions years ago!!
Glad you noticed! The studio has come a long way since then - and so have you! #proudcoach
Thanks!
top ten books no actor has ever used
Very informative, Nate!
100% agree with all of these. Specially that self tape gear. So. Important. I got my base self tape kit entirely for (including soft lights, tripod, and mic) under $200. And I use it CONSTANTLY.
As someone that worked as a scout for a modeling/talent agency, EVERY SINGLE ONE of these tips is perfect and will get you taken seriously and noticed by agents and casting directors. I could always tell whether a photographer knew how to take headshots in an instant, and it was so sad seeing actors come in with terrible photos, specially if they also spent large amounts of money getting them. Thank you for posting this Nate!!
