Hello All!! Thank you for tuning in for my first Japan vlog! I’m going to be getting out of quarantine in a few days and will finally be able to go to my new residence and see where I will be living! Please subscribe and give me a like if you enjoyed! I have a video on my other channel talking a bit about how and why I moved ua-cam.com/video/LMX3WWl2wgU/v-deo.html BUT I will make another one fo...
Interesting to see your perspective! I don't think I've seen a JET video about the 1st day in placement. In order of most common JET videos its apartment, unqualified interview/SOP advice, day in a life, then the occasional orientation. In a way I think you're lucky to arrive during quarantine. It gave you a buffer between consulate orientation+flight - then to online orientation - then to travel. I'll have to do all three back to back :(. Thanks for sharing this experience so I can mentally prepare :).
You did a great job cleaning up your apartment!
Haiiii
I just discovered your videos! they are great!
When u flush the wc, the water coming out the tap in the basin above, it's clean water to wash your hands. The water then flows into the tank for flushing so this way can save water
The best sentence in your commentary is "submarine bath room n stupid sofa* the stupid sofa is far more better than what you are keeping in room
I love your apartment! It's seems so cozy and peace 😌 i hope you'll upload more videos in the future🔮❤
That microwave should NOT be used when the paint is peeling or the surface coming off it is really dangerous, please get a new one they are not expensive these days. Did you view other apartments by any chance!!!! Don't understand why these apartments are set out with those tiny cookers, that kitchen is WAY bigger than mine in my one bed bungalow and I have a full size cooker, I always thought the Japanese were light years ahead of us in the UK but these apartments are terrible
Did you go to japan without watching any house videos lol.
Oven cleaner is very helpful. Spray it on, let it sit, put on gloves and wipe/scrub it off. Open the window before you do this.
Yummy
I want to like this videooo
Metal scrub for the water stains on the sink
Bravo ! I loved yours interior design more than yours house .
You are amazing
Some can say what they would like about the apartment but I love it. It has a nice traditional Japanese feeling and it seems light and airy. I'm sure it must smell musty though lol.
Did you find a guy in Japan yet?
Seems like it's one of the older apartments, plus it's in the traditional style so most definitely old, stains and such is normal for it :) Gives the place a very traditional-Japanese vibe which is nice too :)
Oooo i love this place i would eo live here
❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
Try oven spray for oven and sink.
Not sure what your regulations are, but maybe you could use peel-and-stick removable wallpaper to cover stained/scuffed surfaces, where possible.
Hi Brittany 😊 your so cute like your room
Where is WiFi set up?
omg this is so cute!! please keep uploading your experiences in Japan! Literally they're gift giving culture is unmatched - I can't believe so many of these are homemade ahhh💕🤩
Seems that you complain a lot . Appreciation is good specialy if you are not paying for things. Maybe a brand new apartment will suit you better
Considering shes living in the place, she’s allowed to complain away. But i think it was more out of embarrassment of the stains on the counters/cabinets.
I think she's got the right, I would NOT havevtaken that place for anything!!!!
Love your apartment. I clean apartments and I found vinegar, a little water and blue Dawn dish soap. It can't be any other color for some reason. Spray it on anything you want to clean leave it sit for awhile and clean it off. It doesn't smell the best but ,it won't wreck anything you spray it on and it will come out so clean you will be able to see your reflection on the stainless steel. You can clean any surface.
Blue Dawn for the win!
My sound is maxed and can hardly hear you. Speak up when you do videos.
You have a ord flying around u in the right ride of u
In Sweden we got something called "såpa". Its made of pine tree oil and is the best cleaning product I ever used. Maby its made in Japan to. Beqause its eco friendly I also have it in the oven on 100 Degrees celsius and it melts the grime away and the same with the fan over the stove I put the net that fat get trapped in in a pot and boil it. I think it has to do something with the PH
Get a microwaveable tray for the bottom of the microwave.
Congrats on the apartment. Have you tried a baking soda and water paste to try to get rid of some of your harder stains on the sink and microwave.
Wow You have got a Great Apartment ... Does this apartment provided by your program? or did you find on your own ? I am actually curious to know the "Rent" of this place ? I hope you don't mind.
Hope (🙏) you will upload more on your next video, as you enjoy in japan ... About food or their culture ....
Awesome video, very well explained ... Keep it up ... You are very beautiful woman 😍😍😍☺️☺️☺️, i am a big fan of yours ❤️❤️❤️
CONGRATS ON BEING FREE!!! I just went through the same thing 💪
I really enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing it with us!😊Your apartment looks really nice... I hope you the best and I can't wait for more of your videos!
hi hi, definitely enjoying your vlogging videos of your time in japan! <3 sending you loads of good vibes!
Thank you for the tour Brittany 😃, your apartment is so beautiful 😍
thanks for sharing... your place is so big. and i love the view
Very cool!! thanks for the video :)
It might be a good idea to find some pads to put under your bedroom furniture 🙂 Tatami are very delicate and expensive to replace, so you dont want to be blamed for furniture leaving indents in it 😅
Oh, and the sink above the toilet is a water saving feature, intended for you to wash your hands with the water that then fills the tank for your next flush 😅 though I have heard it's bad to use soap with it, so I think a lot of people just use the normal sink haha
Did they give you some pocket money you can spend while quarantined?
Heyy, hope you are doing much better now! Love your videos! Can't wait for more... and if you can, please do make a video about the JET Program process.
Yes, she makes awesome videos!!! 🙏
OMG. That sounds like a horror story... I hope you got time by now, to prozess everything so far. I'm looking forward to your journey 😊
Oh and one more thing...a blog of your journey to school, like the train journey from buying the ticket 🎟 to boarding and knowing when you've reached your destination ✌🏾
Room tour please 🙏🏾 ...once you're happy about it's utter cleanliness that is😅
Sorry Britt for your swim in the deep end upon arrival 😅 Did you introduce yourself in Japanese or English?
Hi, what prefecture are you heading too? I was placed in Ehime prefecture, heading over lather this month... Thanks for this video btw
I'm moving in December. I'm also a JET! I was placed in Osaka but, it's countryside for me. May I ask where you got placed?
So exciting! I’m in Hyogo prefecture in a more urban area!
