Flap Off You Beak animated short bit

Here's a short animation I did a while back to Cardiacs' Flap Off You Beak. I modified the song a bit to give the video more of a punch, as it were.

Cardiacs - Manhoo

More ugly video, decent sound. Cardiacs doing Manhoo on May 19, 1999 if I'm not mistaken. Apparently this show was broadcast live to the internet.

How's this for an ugly video? Sound quality is pretty decent, though. Here's Cardiacs doing Sparkly Silvery Sky on May 19, 1999, I think. The concert was broadcast live to the internet.

Cardiacs playing Pip as Uncle Dick but Peter Spoilt It at the Garage on October 19, 2003. Spider-man! They botch this particular performance up a good bit towards the end. :)

Cardiacs - The Duck and Roger The Horse
This wi be their secomd intro to Earth
Go on Drakey my boy, tell him. This song means more to me than any official book can coordinate fine times of lifes pleasures.Oh ghosty ghost yeahhh. Never has a heart reached me.
Awesome. Love this.
tim’s vocal range is nuts
Fun fact: the earliest known piece of English secular music is “Sumer Is Icumen In,” and the lyrics are about a cuckoo bird welcoming the summer with its song.
Brilliant.
This song has ALL the magic of the Cardiacs! My favourite song of theirs for this reason...although I love their other songs for other reasons.
Spectacular!
Rest in power
How could someone dislike it? Absolutelly worth of laudation!
The first time I heard this I was in Tescos, listening on my ipod. When it got to the stop-start bit near the end I stood there, shocked, open mouthed like I was having some kind of brain episode. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. I barely can now. RIP Tim, we will always love you.
My favourite film of 2020
First Cardiacs song I ever heard :-)
My favourite Cardiacs tune. Such sad news about Tim Smith
Agreed, and mine too man. This one is a Turner painting rendered musically. Brilliant.
Magic
I was there. That was the first time I saw them <3
❤️
Tim is so majestic.
Amazing!
4:00 Organ Swell, my favorite part.
in 2019 sounds unreal, thanks Dr. Tim !!!!
Last song I saw them play. Then they walked off stage and never came back. Oh deary me.
Sorry for our loss X
I was here :)
Awful remix / dub of what was a sterling live gig. This isn't even a "best of" from the sound deck. First of all the keyboards are *way* lower than I mixed them, secondly, that is only a partial version of the vocal track - it's inter-woven with another gig (from where, |I do not know). I'm all in favour of correcting sound issues (not artist issues) through a remix, but to integrate tracks from another session is heresy.

Genius
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this tune. Sigh. I miss Tim so much.
More boorays for Hill.
Modern really progressive rock music! Notice Kavus Torabi`s gtr solo at 3:28 and choral vocals at 4:13! Cardiacs for ever....
Is this their best song, no, Dirty Boy is, but it may be.
Fantastic tune. Makes me wanna cry with Joy ;)
An achingly beautiful song.
Does anyone know if the actual recordings for this "second album" still exist somewhere?
NoiseKidd it's now happened :)
I put it in my workout playlist:)
Alas I never had the opportunity to hear them. Mr. Smith's 'accident' took place before I first heard their music, and so far as I know they never played in America. Without youtube I would never have heard them.
I would travel to the UK just for one of those gigs, I swear. But now...
Oh... man...
This is a wonderful song
not enough veiws here :(
La fusion entre Primus et Sparks ?
Awesome!
they sure decorated time nicely
Can't believe this was best part of ten years ago.......remember it like yesterday ffs!!
Didn't they make an official video of the song with the band inside a small dark room, camera shot from above and swinging lamp? I'm not sure it could be only a dream.
Did you ever find it?

Woah woah, no need to shit on Queen.
I swear, I walk down the streets of London listening to this song, and when it gets to the last few minutes I get goosebumps, I can't help put raise my hands like I'm ascending, and everything else around me is fucking trivial... and then it ends, and I realise there is no heaven beyond what we create on this Earth, and music helps me to attain it... if only a little. But no other music can achieve this as much as listening to Mr Smith's music... all hail.
and we're still waiting for this mutha funkin lazy Minnow to grace us with his presence to this very day... The End
Tim's most provocative and dangerous composition. Definitive version.
Too good for Clapton-level compositions.
