I think my pliers would fill that box, which, oddly enough.has all the same size drawers.
100% agree with you on Knipex & SO for plier brands. I can't get on board with the Wranglstar Cringe Lord 'ProHo' thing though. The guy thinks he's litterally gods gift to mans knowledge of tools, and is clueless half the time. Sorry, no such thing as a professional home owner lol. We're just some guys that maintain are homes/vehicles like everyone used to do. You didn't say they give you 'The Fizz' so there's still hope, rant over lol...Anyway, like you said, the Twin Grips are awesome. Available in 6 & 10" now. Japan has some beauties as well, Fujiya & Tsunoda, Lobster, 3 Peaks etc... Really nice plier collection man👍🏻
Snap-on/Knipex are my go-to also. I also have some Lobster (Japan) which are nice. I also have the copy-cat Icon pliers and they are the best value when on coupon.
very illegal in Denmark
God bless the United States of America
I can confirm with my most recent job that nothing beats high quality pliers. What, you mean you didnt want to pay $86 for the snap on flush cuts! Neither did I. So I will say the knipex diagonal looking pliers in a 2 pack that are said to be flush cuts ... my set was definitely not ground to a flush cut. Otherwise im pleased with my other knipex. I agree the LN46acf is my favorite pliers and fully worth the 60 some dollars. My pair is not aligned perfectly.
Yessir. Thank you for the great comment!
Thanks for the thorough explanation!
Where in the rankings would you place vidmar?
I have not used them.
Cabinets? Stanley owns both vidmar and lista, its the same.
What happened to the shrikes edge? it looks chipped to hell
Chopping into dirt and hit a rock. Haven’t touched it but would easily strop out on this steel. Or my diamond stone
Damn that must of sucked It’s definitely not stropping out though going to have to remove some steel to get that edge looking good again
Now that’s BIG 💵💰💵💰.👍👍🧰🇺🇸
The handles are actually Aluminum, not Titanium. Had me fooled.
That Rolex is a nice tool as well 😊
Thanks friend. Ref. 116600
I have a problem. I have like 3 drawers like that. Separate cutter drawer and mini ones. Then copies of all the ones I like in all my bags. Those small snap on ones probably hurt me the most. I have like 5 pairs and they are expensive but make it so you can carry less tools for sure
That’s awesome. I have a separate drawer for a few micro pliers alongside my watch tools. Could you ever get it down to one drawer? Also what size drawer
Make a video about why Rousseau are better than Sonic, etc.
I will!
@@chrishallnycPlease do!!
And the irony on how Tekton (which I own) uses them to make their boxes.
I’m a good flowing pin whore. Going to try the Floatune. Thanks
Very nice layout Snap On, Channellock, Klein, Knipex mixture is the top of the line pliers with Mayhew, Lisle, Mac/Proto, Wright, NWS, Wiha , Nepros. Koken Lang, Hazet, Milwaukee USA, Vessel, Bondhus all being good for various other types of tools
Yessir thank you for the comment!
I think the only other brands I have that you didn’t mention that people maybe haven’t heard about are Tsunoda, Merry, Engineer, Fujiya and Victor. All of them have ones I really like. For anything with a blade like scissors and knives KAI makes some stuff I have never found anything that compares with them. I probably have $4000 in KAI stuff. Always looking for the best tools
Can you classify European brands tools, better than Snap On , please?
It always depends on the genre you are in and on the tool itself. Common big brands in Europe (especially Germany) for sockets, ratchets, and wrenches are Hazet, Stahlwille, Gedore (check to avoid buying their budget line), and Heyco. If you're looking for screwdrivers, I would recommend Felo, Wera, and Wiha. Good pliers are made by NWS, Knipex, and some models by Wiha.
Yes I will
Obsessed Garage does a good job
@anonym6391 thank you
cool
You should be comparing a $500 Scarab II to a $450 Heretic Colossus - which is apples to apples - they even LOOK the same, and are almost the exact same size. Both have that "grip tape" inlay... Of COURSE a $300 Ultratech is not as "beefy" as a Colossus!
I would love to, but have never heard of it and don’t have it. Maybe one day.
Perfect size for daily carry. Would love to see a break down cleaning video with this pivot - only have CRK’s so curious if any tips or tricks for a Strider.
Largest pivot on any knife in this class
Love the Microtech haters - Microtech is one of the best knife makers on the planet. You are comparing a lower spec Microtech to the highest spec Hereticc - not fair, smart or informative. Crucible may be going away and I frankly prefer M390.
It’s just a normal micro tech to a normal heretic. Pretty representative of both. Thanks for the comment!
I had a $30 OTF that looked almost identical to that heretic. It was a good knife so when I look at that heretic it looks cheap. the microtech looks more expensive in my opinion extremely compact
The heretic is titanium so has a nice feel for sure, although many won’t notice the difference between TI and Al
Sort of big for your pockets.😂😂😂
Think about Cargo pant pockets, jackets and bags
Colossus is closer to the Scarab from Microtech
Compare a Scarab or Combat Troodon to the Colossus… You are comparing apples and oranges
Yeah. Just sharing what I have.
I've also heard of some shady business dealing on behalf of micro tech.
Well the Microtech is $300 while that Heretic is $500. There really can’t be much of a comparison done between them.
Yeah. Just sharing what I have.
It’s actually $350 to $470 by the way
Great breakdown. Definitely subscribing for future content. Straight to the point no fluff I appreciate that
Thank you! Yessir
It’s called rip stop, if it rips the grids stop it from going further
Cool...but not for 650 😅
You don't like what I have to say so you delete my comment? If the product is worth that much money then prove it.
This is your only comment on my channel so far. Thanks for the comment!
Wooooow when you told him to stop, that really took me off guard! What a super smart Dobie! 😍
Full Tang metal handle - how about hand shock on that thing? Can´t imagine it to be comfortable when hitting things like concrete with it. I tried a few impact tools with metal handles and they all were awful for elongated usage. It might be OK for combat use, but as a tool, I very much prefer wooden handles (or at least thick rubber padding on the grip).
Exactly, with any repeated use you'll want to use shock absorbing gloves or wrap this thing somehow. but its not too bad for a little.
I heat treated both of those! I love getting the first hand look on what’s going to be dropping
Wow that’s cool. You worked at RMJ? Are they cerakoted or what’s the grey color on the metal from?
@ they outsource their heat treat when they have larger quantities. I work for a heat treat shop in Texas
Beautiful tools.
Thank you for your thoughts and content
What... tactical what? What exactly does this thing do, that Fiskars axe dosent? I personally prefer more something that is 10000 years in develpment, for true multitool. Youneed a house? You can build oner with Fiskars. You need something else done? Probably Fiskars does that too. Better.
It’s a bag review, not an axe review sir
Snuggles seems a little more at home in urban combat than a edged weapon.
Wow! I wish my dog would follow camands like that. 😂
Unreal
Instead of searching Google for this you can now watch a 40 minute video of me explaining it.
Good information 🎉👍, I am a hiker camper, so crazy about flashlights.
Their knives are drastically overpriced. Cool designs, but not worth it at all. Sad.
BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES: I worked at tactile for a year, they have HORRIBLE management and ownership and consistently produce a VERY inconsistent product, screws not flush, surface imperfections, and sometimes knives with occasional lock files will still get sent out (I remember tons of returns for lockfails). The cerekote knives regularly have small chips and they would knowingly send them out to customers anyway, forcing the customer to decide if the imperfection is worth the hassle of a return. THIS COMPANY IS TRASH
No joke.
Sorry. I once messed up the screw on the ZT640 washer in the same way. I not only twisted it too hard, but also put a thread retainer in it. And I still managed to unscrew it with great difficulty, marking out a new thread and using high-quality carbide screwdrivers. Instead of the damaged one, by the way, a screw from the old HDD came up. So on my beloved firetac, I will not repeat such a mistake
Almost just bought one of these, then I watched this. Thank you!
Wow. Looks cool but functions bad. Thx for the review
John makes awesome gear I have well way to much. That said it’s all being used
Glad I saw this. I had that knife in the shopping cart ready to pull the trigger. Guess I’ll shop around for an alternative.
So what did you get? I was going to buy it, decided to watch some videos, yup I'm out too haha
Good one is the quiet carry waypoint, very similar plus the quiet carry is a hollow grind!
send it back
Arrived mid Feb. 2024, on its way back shortly after watching your video! Not only did mine fail, but the retailer, after talking to them, pulled a random Rockwell off their inventory, and it failed! Very disappointed with Tactile. Hope this saves someone from a serious accident with this knife!
