has Ai affected 3d model sales?
@@FluentInFocus Actaully not at all and in my opinion it never will because AI can't create precise 3D models. The geometry on AI models is often very buggy and there is no alignment at all of edges for example. What I mean by that is, every vertex has other coordinates, there can't be straight lines. AI is just not capable of doing this. Also AI can't replace a human when it comes to texturing models. I hope that helps :)
@@UnrealMatter Thanks bro : D, I understood
Mine wound up looking like crap LOL Gonna pass over my buildings with no brick bump and hope for the best. Displacement distorts the buildings in horrible ways, no matter how strong or weak said displacement. Tried a NormalFromHeight node, but that did not improve things. No matter the lighting, no matter the height map technique, UE5 is rejecting any height applied to my buildings. In Maya / Arnold and Painter, however, everything looks much better. Too bad Maya would crash since it has no Nanite capability and I need millions of trees in this scene.
Hey, I'm sorry to hear that it doesn't look nice. I recommend at least using normal maps if bump and displacement don't seem to look good.
@@UnrealMatter Nah, the normal maps look truly bizarre. They're doing all sorts of weird things to the shading. No bump mapping of any sort seems to be working. I'm going to have to fake it by putting the shading of the bricks and stones into the color texture. My hope is that the 500 or so feet we'll be flying above these buildings will be enough to sell the look of them.
@@keithyakouboff8755 Okay if the normal maps are looking strange too, maybe your texture maps got exported wrong/for another program. What you can try to do is going to a normal map generator only or doing it manually in a program like photoshop and creating a normal map with your albedo/base color map :)
@@UnrealMatter Interesting. Never heard of doing that. I imagine I can find a tute for that. Thank you :)
@@keithyakouboff8755 You're welcome. It is very simple. I mentioned it in a few tutorials of mine too. Also I made a tutorial on how to do it in Photoshop a while ago :)
Hi sir can you tutor me please
@Danieladeiza Hey, I have pointed out the most important things in this video. If you want to learn something specific, you can try to find it on my youtube channel, I have made many videos on Blender topics. I hope the videos can help you :)
I did everything right and the texture material Chanel0 has a uv but its alway shows this up : More details: Error, T14780: Failed to compute tangents; need UV data in channel0
@Furkan.241 Hello, this was the only fix I could find on the internet: "So after completely starting over with my mesh, I found the issue. When I converted my mesh, I needed to be in UV Editing mode." But it doesn't give that much insights. Others say that there is something wrong with the normals of the mesh. Try doing CTRL+A in edit mode, then pressing M->Merge by distance. Then go to Mesh->Normals->Recalculate Outside. Then UV unwrap the mesh again. Maybe this fixed the error but I don't know. I have never seen this error.
Hello, I'm getting this error. Uninitialized image "body.dds.002" from object "Body_Rfenderz" . Do you know how to fix it?
@@radovanovicfilip5664 Hello, In the Image Texture node, where it normally says Single Image, change it to Generated. Hope that helps :)
@@UnrealMatter Same thing happens :/
@@radovanovicfilip5664 And when you create a new material and plug in a new image as a .jpg with the same texture?
very helpful, thank you!
@@AlexanderDrumev-g1u You're welcome! Thank you so much for watching :)
If you are telling, show your results. I haven't been particularly involved in stocks, but for almost 10 years I have 17 models on different stocks: for the entire period, about $1000 in sales will be collected. Let's add to this " fckng CGTrader" was banned on the basis of nationality without the possibility of withdrawing my money.
Hi thanks for the tutorial. I've imported an fbx file and apply a blender kit texture to my model. I tried to add an ambient occlusion map to existed map system of the material but in the bake step Blender gave an warning message says that '' object X is not a mesh '' what should I do
@@NihalMente Hello, since you used a custom setup I can't say much about that but the error suggests that you don't have a mesh with geometry. What you could try to do is going in the Viewport Tab to Object->Convert to->Mesh. Other than that I don't know what the cause could be
Thank you! You're awesome!

Great tutorial! I have checked and double checked but for some reason my normals are flipped in the viewport. Shining a spotlight on the surface with the normal shows the shadows inverted. I already flipped the 1 and -1 on the if statement for the Y channel but that does nothing. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!
@@DavidAncira-u8w Hello, maybe you can try to invert your normal map. There are programs for this like ShaderMap, maybe there are also free options how this can be achieved or through some equation in a node.
Is it possible to turn this into a s static png texture like sky texture?
@@nsemizap9084 Hey, what do you exactly mean by that? Can you please explain further? Because the texture is already a static texture for the sky
THIS is the shit i'm on youtube for, HELL yeah
@@GNINNIWTON 😁😁
I dont have the SM_SkySphere
Make sure you are using Unreal Engine 5. You can get the SM_Skysphere manually from the top left corner with the plus icon :)
how did u add world displacement ? it's dosen't show in my blueprint
Hi, seems like in Unreal Engine 5 World Position Offset is used or Blueprints to create displacement on a mesh.
@UnrealMatter ye i see but what the difference between normal displacement and world position offest ? what is better ?
@@هيثمالغامدي-ن6ف There is no "better" option. World displacement just doesn't exist anymore in Unreal Engine 5 so If you want to do it in the material editor you have to look up world position offset :)

@@CarbonAnimationProductions Did you get the newest version? I haven't used it for sometime now but I think there is one on github
@@UnrealMatter actually i think i found the solution. mixer is very tricky lol it takes a lot of trial and error
@CarbonAnimationProductions yeah, substance painter is a bit better but the subscription model kinda annoys me since I don't use it as much
@@UnrealMatter oh yea that reminds me, is something going on with mixer? i cant access some of the materials and its kinda buggy. not to mention mixer hasnt been updated in like 2 years. did it get shut down or something?
@@CarbonAnimationProductions I don't know but since Unreal Engine launched Fab Quixel Bridge doesn't work as well. I don't like Fab at all. Bridge was a lot better :/

How do i do stuff like add the textures into the models and other things?
@@funny_gamer265 If you click on the model, there will appear a tab for that on the right side of the screen
Yea, but the albedo is corrupted and stuff, like the texture isn't aligning, the yellow lines aren't appearing, and the toner stuff. Is it okay if you make a video on how to fix it or atleast tell me how? I'm still surprised on how fast you replied tho Edit: I actually fixed it now, I just flipped the spline and everything was okay now, thanks for replying by the way. Hope you have a good day😊
@funny_gamer265 Okay, nice if you fixed it. Have a good day as well :)
Is there a UV:textools for Blender 4.2?
@@erikarustamova3693 Hey, you can search for it on github. Since the last update was 3 weeks ago I suppose it works with Blender 4.2 too
Can you help me with copyright? How can we protect copyrighted scenes? Or how can we protect our own model?
@@zahirkerimovstore Hey, normally copyright exists as soon as you upload a 3d model that you created. With platforms like cgtrader or turbosquid this is even better because these are known platforms that protect your models. However without a big agency that searches for stolen models you can't do much. You would have to actively search for your 3d models getting sold by others. But if you find someone who sells your 3d model you could sue them. So it is a bit more complicated than with music for example.

If someone was going to make their own texture for the sky, what should the px and aspect ratio be? Thanks
@@alssaarraahj Hello, HDRI's are in 2:1 format and the resolution is up to you. However most I would recommend 8k or higher resolution :)
@@UnrealMatter Thank you so so much! this tutorial has been so helpful, I've been stuck on this for a while and you made it so simple. Could I also ask > I've heard HDRI's referred to also as custom downloadable light settings, as opposed to just sky material, do you understand this?
@alssaarraahj Maybe what is meant by that is that HDRI's are used to mimic certain lighting. For example if movie studios shoot an outdoor scene and they want a cgi element in it, they take an hdri at that location and this can be used in a 3d software so the 3d asset has the same lighting as the shot. I don't know if that was also your question but .hdr and .exr formats are also image formats like .jpg but they are used to have more details in the shadows and highlights :)
@@UnrealMatter Thank you that's very helpful, so HDRI is sort of like the overall lighting/ambiance, referring to the actual HDR (background file type) and also light settings? Also my sky looks cool but is quite a lot lighter than the source image, any idea why? Thanks!!
@alssaarraahj Yeah you could say it like that. Also, sadly I don't know why your sky looks lighter. Maybe there are some other factors influencing it like fog
Nice demonstration
