"""opv"""
It looks perfect for what New Zealand needs.
Federal republic of SOMALIA needs few of them. How much cost anyone have a clue???
Can the VLS hold/launch SAMs?
Não tem sonar?
What is the Cost per unit?
Subhanallah Negara mana yang mendesain ini
This is too armed for an OPV
Very nice flatporm

So versatile

This for the Philippines in horizon 4
just beautiful , neat and integrated systems .
Which country? Is this ship built by Italy?
Design and construction by Vard Group. The Vard 7-series 125 OPV is designed by the naval architect Vard Marine, with HQ in Vancouver Canada and offices in Ottawa Ontario Canada, Houston Texas USA, Vũng Tàu Vietnam, and Gdańsk Poland. Vard Marine is a subsidiary of Vard Group of Norway (7 shipyards + naval architect), a group that was acquired by Fincantieri of Italy in 2014. Most likely, the hull will be built at one of the latter Vard shipyards abroad and fitted at a Vard shipyard in Norway for quality control (3 shipyards in Norway, 2 in Romania, 1 in Vietnam, 1 in Brazil). So, Fincantieri is owned by the state of Italy, but all work is done by an enterprise they've acquired. Vard Group is about to deliver a third vessel of the larger KV Jan Mayen class long-range Arctic OPV to The Norwegian Coast Guard, later in 2024 (see vessels: W310 KV Jan Mayen, W311 KV Bjørnøya, and later W312 KV Hopen, on UA-cam).
Mas gusto yan
A light Frigate base on armaments and size
Well made animation
Fincantieri's Italian design is very evident in this class of ships. They are are very similar in fact to the FREMM frigates and its new line of corvettes which have already been sold to Qatar and Greece.
Canadian design, not Italian. The Vard 7 125 OPV was designed by Vard Marine (HQ in Vancouver Canada, with offices in Ottawa Ontario Canada, Houston Texas USA, Vũng Tàu Vietnam, and Gdańsk Poland). Vard Marine is a subsidiary of Vard Group of Norway, which was acquired by Fincantieri of Italy in 2014 (so the Italian relation goes back only 6-9 years, at the time of this design). Note that Fincantieri, due to international aquisitions, have kept most of the organizational structure (probably due to complexity and languages) - so under Fincantieri there exist an Italian group (9 shipyards + architects), the Vard Group (7 shipyards + Vard Marine architects), and a group in USA (3 shipyards). From what I know, as a local from the shipyard region in Norway, designs that are constructed at Vard Group shipyards are either created by their own Vard Marine or often external Norwegian naval architects, depending on the type of project and unique local requirements. One good example: LMG Marin (independent Norwegian naval architect, and one of Europe's leading) designed the larger Jan Mayen class of Arctic OPV, built by Fincantieri (Vard Group), and you can see the typical Norwegian design cues in those vessels (W310 KV Jan Mayen, W311 KV Bjørnøya, and W312 KV Hopen), and most likely, due to some specific Nowegian DMA requirements for patrolling the Barents Sea and border sharing with a increasingly more hostile Russia (e.g. Polar Class 6, Hensoldt AESA radar, anti-sub sonar, etc). The naval environment and the employees at the specific naval architect office, their personal creativity, and how they are organized with subsidiaries and so are compartmentalized and interacts continuously in their subgroup, these factors are most influential in the design - more than what ownership is (of shipyard or naval architect office). In the end, ownership may have nothing to do with the design at all.
🤩
I have never heard a warship demo video have such upbeat music. Like a viagra commercial 👍
Un ang ganda procured na yan
Call it what you like, but at that size and weapons payload it's a frigate.
This more a heavy Corvette or a light frigate then a opv

I want to buy this ship :)
If you have this kind 6 units a formidable navy .
Nice design.
I don't care what classification you give this vessel, OPV, Corvette or Frigate, it's amazing. It's a multi purpose ship with multi mission capabilities.
At 150 crew this is no OPV or corvette. It is a frigate plain and simple and an underwhelming one at that.
Disamping Sigma KRI Martadinata kita aja udah sekelas fregat panjang masih 105m. Ini mereka bilang OPV wkwk jadi insecure padahal udah sekelas medium frigate sih ini. Siapa tau TNI AL minat, biar bisa dipake buat Muter muter Natuna.
the front reminds me of the sigma frigate
Philippine Navy 🇵🇭 should acquired this Vessels
I prefer this one than those of south korean offer, as it has a lot of firepower.
Looks better than the USN's new frigate.
No it doesn't. The USN's new frigate is significantly more capable then this thing. For starters it has an aegis baseline 10 radar and it has 16 cannister launched missiles and 32 VLS.
@@carisi2k11 Looks are in the eye of the beholder.
Looks nothing like it.
Precisely. @@loyalist5736
iBRAVO ITALIA!!!
I would say this is a well armed Corvette (FSG), much like the German K130 Class.
this should be the OPV the Philippine Navy must have to purchase.
CORVETTES NA ITO DI OPV..
@@packohub1145opv po sya but capable of corvette and frigate din sya

Wah..kalo OPV kita seperti ini iya korvet, light Frigat kalah coz ini OPV rasa Frigat 😁
Buat bakamla cocok nih, copot rudalnya dan pertahankan tempatnya.
Sekilas mirip KRI Martadinata class
#ptpal #pal #ptpalpersero #ptpalindonesia #industrikapalindonesia
Tinggal bubarin aja PT. PAL, galangannya dibeli Fincantieri
wow it's only an OPV but almost a Corvette,
not just a corvette, but a heavy armed frigate
Which country do that again...
@@mysygisun3335 🤔🤔🤔....si,......sssssi.
Patricio: En los años 70/80, en España teníamos 8 Corbetas Clase Descubierta, les llamaban "La Hormiga Atómica". 1.100 Toneladas. Proa: 1 Cañón de 76mm. Mortero 1x6 Antisubmarino. Popa: 2 Cañones de 40mm (Independientes) Lanzador 4+4 Misiles Aspide (versión mejorada del primer Sea Sparrow). Babor y Estribor: 4+4 Misiles Harpoon. 2+2 Torpedos.
