It's quite believable that Samsung phones could do this since Galaxy S4, I believe, but then gave up on it because it was merely gimmicky.

The feature only works on this model, for now. If you look up the sales of this model, it's not even at 1 million. So, don't put out your 1.4 billion figure at every situation.

It doesn’t have to be a screenshot, nor two people. They are just demonstrating it’s capabilities. An example of when it would be useful, is if you want to quickly share or receive a photo without needing to ask for any details.

As a photographer I load all my photos for clients from the canon app to my phone and air drop them to my clients. It’s very useful for many different applications not just photos

People in homes and offices move images from and to other devices. From your tablet to your phones or to pc.

Hand gestures to take pictures? Lots of people doing it if they take selfies. While feature like this maybe after slefie with friends/family you can use it, better than sending it via WhatsApp/telegram or others..
