I prefer exposed brick too but look at the ceiling! That brick doesn’t seem to fit until it’s painted, gotta see the whole room before I can judge.
I liked the bricks before...
I love love love white brick but brick is porous and it has to breathe. Masonry professional will tell you never to paint it. I would get someone in there to double check because the last thing you want is a 75,000 repair because the chimney brick couldn't breathe.
