when you put on the wobbly effect you wiggle your guitar at the same time, which makes it hard to tell what is causing what in the sound 🤔😅
The Megabyte seems like a real upgrade from the Kilobyte. Aptly named. I didn't realize it had tap & subdivisions. That's a must for me, and the fact it does that special ambient thing, and the Havoc switch (I have an old Wave Cannon with a havoc toggle, it's wild) makes this delay very appealing. Could be used as a pretty straight-ahead delay, or an ambient, shoegaze machine.
At chapter 5 --you are getting close to Ten years gone solo !----sound --!---still --something missing?
Wonder how Page got that sound on the final solo om ten areas gone --listen to it -maybe twin guitarists ?
Thank you!
Thanks ,excellent demo!!
I recently bought the earthquaker device park fuzz sound pedal about a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it.
Shut up and play Purple Rain
This is by far the best review of this pedal I’ve found. Also that amp + guitar combo by itself is AMAZING and your playing is stellar. Thank you
Nice playing! That bit at 5:18 reminded me of Deerhoof! Thanks for a high quality review.
Hi there....where would you place this pedal in the chain? Effects loop or front of the amp? Thank you!
Little Guitars!!! Loved that
sounds better off. Best mod for this pedal would be to reverse the on the on/off led.
when you say slow down it speeds up and when you say speed up, it slows down. you should have made clear that in the down position a louder signal gets a slower rate, thats why it speeds up, when the signal rings out and gets quieter.
can i use this to raise the pitch of my guitar, my guitar is tuned in D standard, can i raise it to E standard using that? thanks
Please can you enlighten me ----what is the difference between a pitch shifter and a PHASE shifter ---(trying hard to get the same sound on final solo of Ten years gone by J Page ------
Pitch shifters shift the pitch to a different note or octave and phasers modulate the notes being played. Just watch videos on the different effects and let your ears hear the difference
It would be easier to watch if you shaved properly and prepare exactly what it is you are trying to say....I still haven't got a clue what this Strymon is for.
Kind of reminds me of Trevor Rabun on Owner of a Lonely Heart. I wonder if he used something like this (if it existed back in the early 80s)
I saw them in that tour and he was definitely using a midi pickup to a synth module. Not sure if that’s how they did it in studio though
This always stays at the end of my recording chain ,before my RNDI S ,for that creamy tape saturation, before hitting the transformers.
The setting for the intro was amazing
And this segment is brought to you by Bond Audio . . . . . . . . .
Your voice is louder than the guitar😮
Jake... Hey, thanks man. I realize that this video is a couple of years old, but, I needed to find something out here that clearly demos what to expect from the Deco v1, and you nailed it here. I just bought a used one over the phone from a store up here in Canada, because I think it has all I really want from a saturation/doubler thing. I used to use an old 1984 DOD rackmount Flanger/Doubler that did pretty-much the same thing into my 2 Roland Bolt 60 amps in stereo. (My sound was actually a little bit ahead of it's time way back then I am proud to say. I have missed that DOD ever since. I know the v2 has some more cool stuff, but this used one saved me $200 (which is a great thing being that I also just bought a new BigSky AND a new Lex v2 and my bank account is starting to get a bit shallow! Lol) But, again, thanks for this. You did a perfectly thorough job demonstrating the old Deco. Exactly what I needed to see. So, I subscribed here and liked based on this demo. I will keep an eye on your channel for more as things come up. Cheers and regards from Stratford, ON., Canada!
Does this pedal do standard tuning to Eb tuning? How was it? Is the latency noticeable?
Nothing wrong with the original at all.
Great video. You didn't demo the "GREEN" mode on the Rufus. If you hold down the foot switch the light will change to green and you'll get a new pallet of tones to play with. Its very cool!
0.60-.070 mm action what i see here
nice video, do you know if guitar is E standard, does M2 do a 1/2 step (Eflat) and M3 a full step etc...
Holy Dutch angles batman
Most underated pedal ever?
The hoof sounded like it had an octave, which I don't think it does. Did he forget to turn off the Octavia I wonder?
Well,in his defense the o on his pedal does look a bit like a c.
This sounds good and all but I’m just gonna go find my own sound
Say No To Drugs
I can see this has a place with a guitar tuned down a full tone - this creates a loser string tension as Hendrix etc used - and then running the pedal on the M2 setting bringing the tuning up a full tone - this gives the ease of playing of a down tuned guitar but playing in a regular tune.
You can change the string gauge for that.
I also wanted to hear more settings that can be used for Rock Sound.
Pretty cool demo .definitely shows off the subtleties of this pedal BRAVO!
by far the most useful demo I've seen of this. Great job!
I love this pedal and fantastic playing.
That amp is sounding awesome! One could be fooled to believe the pedal is making all the magic here, but it's not. Also, great playing!
Myself, I wish he was demo-ing this pedal with an amp with less "personality" to more clearly demonstrate the character of the saturation side of this pedal...but yeah, great playing!
Should you run this pedal through the effects loop (because it is modulation) , or through the front of the amp (for the boost/saturation)?
It's cool and all, but run it in stereo and plug in an external tap tempo. Then it's next level!
Would this work on bass guitar?
It would function similarly to the setup Royal Blood uses. However they split the signal with one going to a bass amp and the other going to a driven guitar amp.
In order to try and add some constructive comment to this I would say the title and labeling of this video is not quite correct and maybe misleading. This is actually not a comparison of the Shiba drive Reloaded and the original Shiba Drive. Its in fact a comparison of the Shiba Drive Reloaded "Mini" and the original Shiba Drive. There is another regular sized version that is called Shiba Drive Reloaded that is not included in this video. And the real Shiba Drive Reloaded would probably deserve its own comparison with the Shiba reloaded Mini in order to see if there are any differences in the tone. On Suhrs website it says that the Shiba Drive Reloaded mini has the same tone "DNA" as the Shiba Drive Reloaded but it does not state that their tones are necessarily identical.
Great video gents
The Hoof is my least favourite. Just sounds too muddy. I can't imagine it sitting well in a mix
Ever listen to The Smashing Pumpkins? Lol - like he said the big muff sound is pretty common in 90s grunge rock
@@patmillen9162 smashing pumpkins were my favourite band 😁 I ended up buying the Caroline Guitar co Shigeharu 😎
@@patmillen9162 interviews with the band and sound engineers said it was a huge undertaking to record their sounds because the muffs didn't want to cut through. Part of their sound actually, with the subtle parts that are super fuzzy
@@commandercorndoggakadvs3768 yep, now a days people just stack muffs with a tubescreamer in front to boost the mids and boom problem solved.. super fuzzy and you don't get too lost in the mix. I personally use a Fuzzhugger algal bloom on my board that allows me to get thick tight fuzz that cuts - its a great pedal
@@patmillen9162 my go to fuzz is a Tone Bender but love a good Muff or Fuzz Face
Sick video and sick pedals!!!! Thanks buddy 👍
Great playing and demonstration. Mine is arriving from Sweetwater tomorrow. So I can play the two chords I know….
Glad you’re digging the demo! Hey those two chords are about to sound a lot wilder
Nice demo!
this was a waste of time.
Take that back Ebon Hawk Offroad 😡😡😡
