What a save from Julietta. Fighting the MC but still managed to defend the command ship at the last moment. Firepower ain't shit if you can't hit shit.
Nah that was ass pull compared to her manga counterpart
Julita plot armor is so strong bro, she’s such a weak pilot, Mika should’ve realistically ended her in few seconds 😂
Agree
author says no
sucks too because he lets her go multiples times. her mobile suit is barely moving and holding onto Rex's legs at one point and he just knocks her off and leaves, should have pinched her ass between two rex claws and called it good. same with Bael, literally had a subordinate holding the vidar in a death hug at one point and he just leaves, had he just run Galio through then, GG.
@@Lawliet117 agree but there will always be plot armor and plot story wise it is up to the writers
Hope you know I'm not about to make nice with Gjallarhorn.
There is zero way Julietta had the time, accuracy or otherwise to land a thrown sword at a target. Especially how far he was, especially where he was on the ship and how long it would take for the sword to travel that far. Shino deserved better.
Shino should have died LONG before this if you go by THAT logic. Season 1 was FULL of Plot Armor for Tekkadan. Complain about that.
@@Ares99999 oh no the protagonists have plot armor. Nothing was as offensive as Julietta's in this series man, sorry.
@@grimgerde2732 Thank you for proving my point.
@@Ares99999 The point that's very poor. Julietta is the one in question and this makes your "gotcha" extremely poor taste man.
@@grimgerde2732 Wow. You make my point ever more right. You prove it again and again. Just stop already. I'm not interested at this juncture. You've proven me right. Thanks.
I get a fresh dose of absolute despair every time I see that piece of space junk knock his aim off 😭😭😭
Fuck, this hurts.
I just realized this is similar to that one scene in aot, but this came out way before that. I love this show so much
The only thing that doesn't make sense is how Julieta can still be alive after this war. Mika defeated her, so it's unclear why blood-thirsty Mika spared her life. In the last episode, Julieta killed Mika. It's totally nonsensical.
I think kika doesnt care anymore since orga death, bro just want to end him self but still let everyone to run away
It makes ZERO sense for Julia's sword to deflect that shot. It shouldve killed Rustal right then and there
It honestly baffled me that she managed to pull off the perfect shot at the perfect moment, even while having the most threatening pilot+gundam in the entire show hot on her ass.
@@n00d13sandr1c3 there is no chance mobile suits don't have an auto aim system. She didn't have to aim that shot
@@n00d13sandr1c3 And yet if a Tekkadan member had pulled this off, you'd call him awesome. But no, not Julietta. How DARE she pull off a Tekkadan move on Tekkadan!
@@Ares99999 Not referring specifically to this show, but people do generally cry out plot armor/asspull even when protagonists pull off something that should be almost impossible in the story. Here Julietta should've logically had her hands more than full just trying to survive against Mika. But the fact that she somehow still had the leeway to disturb Shino's shot at quite literally frame-perfect timing just seemed a bit too much to me.
@@n00d13sandr1c3 Oh, BS. People do not have a tendency to rail against Good-Guy plot armor nearly as much as people do here against Julietta. In short, under all of the rationalization, people didn't want Shino to MISS. They'd have railed against ANY pilot making that shot, even it had been Char Aznable himself. It's not a question of skill, or chance. People. Didn't. Want. Shino. To. Miss. End of story. Everything else is excuses. Well, Shino MISSED. That's the canon story. Deal with it.
I appreciate he missed. That was so unexpected, it was so cool that it happened.
0 19 the moment he discovered there was no need for a false flag. Even he was afraid for a second there. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 To think Tekkadan and Revolutionars lost only due to a fluck, a stroke of bad luck, lucky shot, twist of fate. This is reality, and reality is, fortune doesn't always favor the heroes, that there is no guarante that things will go as planned. 😢😢😢😢
just finished s2 and this last arc kinda soured the series for me which sucks since i loved s1 and i've had people hyping it up for me after starting with wfm. not sure if they were rushed when ibo was airing but the whole arc just felt plagued with bad writing and this scene is a perfect example of it. julieta (after just getting stomped by mika no less) throwing a hail mary with a piece of her ms with perfect aim & timing and from an angle like that is just laughable, especially since we've only ever seen her jobbing lmao. no idea why they did this when someone could've just shot shino from the side with a dainsleif which would've been infinitely more believable while accomplishing the same thing. hell, they could've had this shot land and take out rustal just for that to change nothing, driving it home that they're out of luck without resorting to asspulls like that. the fact that julieta survives all this is just the cherry on top of the shit sundae (why didn't mika wipe her out on the spot after seeing what happened like carta in s1??). i'm all for the idea of our boys getting wiped in the end, their fate was sealed and everyone should've seen that coming so don't think i'm mad cause there wasn't a happy ending for them. i'd just prefer if this all happened in a more believable way that didn't involve gjallarhorn getting plot armor and some of the main cast acting out of character.
I can understand how you feel and on first watch I felt bad about the season too but let me offer you a different perspective. In season one Tekkaden were fighting for a selfless cause, they were escorting Kudelia in the hopes of not only securing a future for themselves but also one for Mars. This is why they continued to win against the odds over and over again. Then McGillis starts getting into Orga's head the idea of being the "Kings of Mars" in the second season. Their selfless goal starts to shift into a selfish goal as they start to only care about ruling mars essentially. This is highlighted I think when Biscuit dies, he felt like the group's moral compass and when he died Tekkaden started to lose their way. So even tho they should win these fights because their cause is not just they lose over and over again. The two big "wins" in the season are when their causes are arguably more honorable and less selfish; when they avenge the death of Lafter by destroying Jasley, and when Akihiro and Mika stay behind to let the rest of Tekkaden escape. I think the second season of the show is trying to highlight the dangers of losing your morals for selfish gain... But that's just my two cents and I understand how others could think the show just got bad.
@@paperpersona1243I do agree with u whole heartedly but damn it just sucked to see shino miss like that. I feel like if the fight was way more even between julieta and mika that would have felt way better, but the fact that mikazuki is just whooping her and you tell me for 5 seconds shes able to get away just enough to hit shino really hurts. I also do get that technically gjallarhorn are the ‘good guys’ in the season in that they are trying to fight mcgillis who is a power hungry tyrant, but if they really wanted to give julieta plot armor they should have made the fight more even rather than a one sided butt whooping where she just miraculously manages to hit the flauros
@@tekizera That is totally valid and to be honest even tho i love the show Julietta's plot armor also annoys me, it doesn't have a satisfying end like Iok Kujan's plot armor did. However let me flip the script on you a little. Imagine it was our boys in the defensive and let's say someone like Akihiro, an exceptional pilot but not on the same level as Mika; would it feel like a cop out if Akihiro somehow valiantly was able to make one desperate attack to save his friends while getting trounced by some more talented pilot? My point being, I think the reason Julietta's desperate throw feels cheap is because we aren't on her side, we're in Tekkadens side and as such we expect them to come out on top, but again, think about their motivations. The boys are deep into the kings of Mars hype train, meanwhile Julietta is fighting for a noble cause while serving an ignoble man. That moral character trait that strong sense of justice Julietta has is the reason her throw lands and makes Shino miss. By season 2 we're unfortunately following the bad guys, that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt when we see people we care about fail and die.
@@paperpersona1243 That's exactly why people dislike Julietta's shot. ''She's weaker so she shouldn't be able to make that shot'' is an odd thing to be irritated about since the whole Tekkadan vs Gjallarhorn was always with the Tekkadan side as by far the weaker side. Honestly, they should never have had a chance to win. But it doesn't bother us, we don't really even think that way, because we WANT Tekkadan to win. Here Julietta is the underdog, since Mika clearly is her superior. By the logic of fans so far, we should be cheering HER on. But we're not, because she dared make ONE SHOT count for something against a guy we WANTED to see win. As fans, we sometimes are blind to our own hypocrisy.
@@Ares99999 I love your observation about us being blind to our own biases and thats something I definitely realized on subsequent watches of this show.
If you think Iok cant be more stupid just look he think he can tank Dainsleif, wtf he think the can do by standing in front Rustal ?? 😅😅

Tekkadan just couldn't catch a break. Shino deserved to get this clean shot.
Why? The ENTIRE SEASON 1 was them catching a break, winning again and again.
@@Ares99999because they’re the main characters? 🙄
@@360bandman So? It's nice to have the main characters lose sometimes.
Ares, this scene could have worked so much better if the director and writers didn’t decide to give the villains broken plot armor just to input Gundams Meta “anti-war” themes in a disappionting way. And yes Rustal and the arianrod fleet are the villains. They are morally inferior compared to Tekkaden and YES even McGillis in nearly every way. If Gundam thinks the definition of Hero’s are the ones who defend, and thinks the definition of villains means the ones who take the offensive first, then it has a wildly mistaken perspective on what a hero is. To be clear I’m not saying the creators of gundam think like this, it only pisses me off that fans think like this.
@@LearningGabriellook I’d agree but Tekkadan are villains the only reason anyone cares is because we followed them. Ultimately things are better for the people when they’re gone.
