This vehicle was restored a few years ago and then sold on. The recent owner has kept the vehicle in dry storage and only driven it in the dry. The chassis has been painted and fitted with all new brake pipes and comes with the overdrive gearbox,
Exterior & Interior: The car has had some restoration in the past and is stunning to look at and drive. The paintwork is nice all over with the odd little blemish, the underneath of the vehicle is also nicely finished as can be seen in the photos. The interior is a very nice place to be with as new seats, new wood steering wheel and new wood dash. Carpets are nice and clean with only a couple of signs of wear. There is also a new set of original style door cards to be fitted.
Engine and Gearbox: The 1998 straight 6 with twin SU carb sounds superb and pulls well in every gear including overdrive in 3rd and 4th which also operates as it should. Clutch also operates as it should and gears are fine as you go through the box. The engine has been looked after and serviced over the years with may new parts fitted as well as the modified larger radiator for reliable motoring
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes: The vehicle has been fitted with a new set of minilites and new Yokohama tyres and the brakes work very well for a car of this age. There are also the original set of wheels with the car.
The vehicle has a great history with almost all the MOTs from 1998 onwards along with lots of receipts for parts and servicing over the years. We cannot verify the mileage before this and it looks like the speedo may have been changed around 2018 as we have an MOT exempt certificate but no further mileages from the recent owner.
The car is HPI clear and will come with 12 months MOT and a 6 month Classic Car Warranty with AA cover. Finance is also available upon request.
