DIY Cheap And Heavy Workbench (Plywood Top)
In this video I show you how I made a cheap and heavy workbench. It has a 2x4 base constructed with half lap joints that are glued and screwed together. The top is made from 2.75” wide strips of plywood laminated together. The top and base are joined with through mortises. The work bench measures 2’ deep 7’10” long and 38.5” tall, and the top is 2.75” inches thick.

Why you people make fool to others!?? How it's DIY?? You're a professional carpenter and all these machines and stuff which you was used professional carpenters. DIY means "do it yourself" and the stuff or things which aren't easily apply to anyone except professionals then how can be everyone can make? You're a carpenter, professional carpenter and all these machines aren't providing any person who doesn't know how these run even! And if the person only design and make by you then it will not DIY. But that person perhaps be a furniture designer.

At first I saw him put the iron in vinegar and thought, not the best idea for irons. Then he used a smoothing plane on one side, and I thought, not great, but could be worse. Then he used a DeWalt planer on the other side...yup it could definitely be worse...and there it is. And then a table saw? A TABLE SAW? And cut off whatever maker's mark there might have been in the process! I'm done. People, dont praise this...this is NOT good hand tool restoration. This is butchering a 100+ year old rabbet plane. A plane that will never be right again...BECAUSE YOU PLANED IT! Now your iron wont fit properly because YOU PLANED IT! UGH... You want to see good restorations, go visit Rex Krueger, Paul Sellers, James Wright, Wood & Shop or anyone else who knows how planes work!

Not only is the bevel reversed (as stated below), you will now also need to grind the sides of the iron to match the width of the plane. Since you planed the width, it is now more narrow and you must also make the iron more narrow...
