Thanks for the brief, informative video on the programming of the Liftmaster 893MAX remote. Neither the opener manual nor the instructions on the garage door opener itself indicate anything about this Prog Button on the back of the <Liftmaster> remote. Good job!!!

HELP! Mine doesn't have a button under the visor clip to push. I was going to show pictures (front & back) but don't show an option here to do that.

I think she shows the on/off switches in reverse or it isn't clear. For instance, if you depress the number 1 dip switch at the top so that the bottom of the switch pops up, is that dip switch in the on or off position? Also, she points the bottom and says plus, zero and minus (with minus at the top). This is odd because the manuals and videos I've seen show the dip switch as plus at the top, zero in the middle, and minus at the botom.

So THERE'S the damned program button. Thank you!

that remote is bullshit. get yourself a 893/373/973 even a max version of the 893. this remote sucks because the blue light cause the battery's (yes there are 3 in there and there not even 3 of the same) to die fast because if ya touch or move past it starts blinking. liftmaster isn't makeing that shit anymore anyway.

good video.. could be made better by 1) showing the inside dip switches of the receiver to show match. and 2) explaining that the receiver 1090 shows OFF for one setting but the 3089 remote says OPEN ( which means open circuit or off). OFF = OPEN

Bravo to this video! It's the only thing I've seen that talks about the need to press the Prog button on the back of the remote. None of the other Liftmaster instructions I've seen (including the ones printed on the garage opener motor unit) mention this. The only slight glitch I ran into was that this video talks about "the programming button on the back of the motor unit". My motor unit has no programming button on the back -- I used the Learn button and it worked fine.

Would like to see how to program a 893Max 3 button remote with a Liftmaster Elite Series Logic 4. The sales material says it's compatible but I'll be darned if I can get it to take the programming. That opener has different buttons, Radio, Open, Close, and Stop. The instructions on the opener are different than the instructions on the remote, but neither one seems to work.
