Thank god it was not burned or damaged in many of the wars since, especially the blitz.
A great collection and an amazing history. There are no such excellent collections of antique books in Poland, so it is especially nice to see them abroad.
I have to see this library. I can only imagine that incredible smell of history. Being able to touch books that have been handled and used by some of England's greatest academic peoples. So wish I was here...
