I had this style of back fender as winter settup for my dirt/street bike and people imo place them to far from the wheel, perhaps to play into motocross-like aesthetic (fair, among mtb options they look quite decent), but setting them just above tire encapsulates water movement to only drop along the sittube (welp, best to go 1x...) and catches maximum on sharper turns. Without salt on the streets it's not that important, I guess.

DO NOT BUY THIS LIGHT. I bought one last year and it lasted less than 15 hours of use. There is a disconnect between the battery and the circuit board that will require a major repair. Screw it! This product is a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY IT. Also I found the mounting bracket to be too small to support the weight of the light, so the light is always vibrating. JUNK!
