Tiamat: I am Tiamat, supreme commander of the entire military of Neo Arcadia and his most loyal liege. Master Weil is not here, as he has other business to attend to. So I’m taking over in his absence. Zero: If that is so, then you will tell me where he is. Weil needs to answer for his crimes. Tiamat: And what about your crimes, Zero? For a veteran who has lived to fight mavericks in the past, you have committed several crimes as a maverick yourself by siding with the extremists. Such irony for a legend’s downfall, is it not? For the moment, I knew what he had planned all this time with the Dark Elf and what his ambitions were. Zero: How did you know all of this? How did you know about Weil? (Cues to cutscenes depicting Weil and his days during the Maverick Wars and the Elf War, the Elpizo Project, and Weil’s plan for world domination) Soliel: Weil and I are scientists pioneering to advance the reploid race equally to fellow humans. But we’re at odds with each other over how we should solve the maverick crisis. He is obsessed with finding the solution to ending the Maverick Wars ever since he lost his family to the Maverick attacks during the Sky Lagoon Incident long ago. There is one time where he proposed investing in reploid resurrection to address the issue of countless maverick reploid retirements, and researching on anti-maverick weaponry. But all were rejected by X. Zero: So, Weil was driven by his own ambition? Soliel: Yes. But his ambition changed soon when we began studying your original body. I offered to study it to gather data and samples needed to create antibodies. But Weil offered another proposal: to prevent future maverick uprising, all reploidkind must be placed under control by one singular reploid acting as a ruler over all. It was called Project Elpizo. Zero: Elpizo…he was a resistance leader chosen by Ciel in my absence. He led the entire resistance using his charisma to motivate in attacking all of Neo Arcadia. He also destroyed X’s body in Yggdrasil. Soliel: Such a shame of how that turned out. That was the reason why X rejected the project because it goes against the idea of reploids and humans living in harmony. So he moves forward with my plan to research antibodies for an antivirus, resulting in the creation of the Mother Elf. I took credit for using her to destroy Sigma and the Sigma Virus once and for all. Weil, however, was consumed by madness, twisted by his ambitions from doing good on his part against mavericks to something…evil. He turns to his new project called Project Omega. Apparently, it was intended as part of his reploid resurrection program, but his idea was to use a reploid and convert it into a singular living weapon. To do that, he stole your original body. And worse, he stole the Mother Elf, corrupting and reprogrammed her into the Dark Elf. Weil uses them to turn all reploids into mavericks, igniting the Elf Wars. (Ends the cutscenes) Soliel: It took four years for the Maverick Hunters to stop Weil. Zero: And now that he is free, Weil has successfully become Neo Arcadia’s new ruler. Soliel: Fortunately, you’ve freed the Mother Elf from Weil’s control and destroyed Omega. But even now, Weil still poses a threat and he will stop at nothing to destroy Area Zero, the site of the Eurasia Colony Crash. Zero: But I have found her wandering Area Zero. She should be at peace now, free from Weil. Soliel: Actually, we both came here. Zero: ??? Soliel: The Mother Elf witnessed Weil’s rise to power, and comes out of hiding to help you bring an end to his madness. Zero: How is she gonna help me? If he sees the Mother Elf’s presence, Weil will attempt to recapture her. Mother Elf: Meeeeee…!!! Soliel: The Mother Elf is no longer afraid of him anymore. She will help you defeat him. If he succeeds, he will use his power to expand Neo Arcadia’s influence and to achieve world domination. The Mother Elf is the only key to defeat him.
