Thank you for uploading videos. I start my civil QS job. I currently have very limited civil knowledge. This helps me a lot.
Thank you for sharing, very useful resources. I have studied QS in Unitec. But being a civil QS, I have no time to study a civil degree. Your sharing helps me having more understanding about my job.
Thank you sir
nice video, i love it, Thank you. Auto Liked and Subcribed
Thanks for all this Hugh, I’ve just started a job as a project engineer for Fulton Hogan after a career in residential construction. This has been a very good crash course on civil construction and no doubt will help me transition better into my role. Best regards Jake
?
Wow, the calculation shows how accurate the work will be. This is absolutely a professional design. Well done
From now on, the “evaporation-condensation-rain” theory will no longer be taught to the world (new 2021). Rain formation is the combustion of hydrogen in a true chemical reaction. H₂ + ½ of O₂ → H₂O → Rain and not by condensation of water vapor resulting from evapo-transpiration which decomposes in altitude into H2 and O under the action of solar ultraviolet rays (UV) . hv + H₂O → H₂↗free + O↗free in 2 min 32 sec. ua-cam.com/video/dqH3Nrjw0N8/v-deo.html
Very well explained. Thank you good sir. I'm subbed!

Very helpful, thank you!!
Can you dig out bad clay out of trech ? Top soil is 17 inches, clay is 28 inches. Can I dig down 50 inches and start my concrete footing?
Doug Mac you will require to asses the soil at that depth. Your may have some soft or weakened layers at various depths, where groundwater plays a major effect
Thank you, it helps a lot. Can you provide the references? I really could use more literature information.
Thanks you for create & published this video. It is very useful for my Assessment.
Thanks Sir
Great work, really easy to watch and informative. Cheers.
It is really so helpful for us students to learn more things about the the subject besides the class. Really so grateful!!!!!!!
yeah
there is an error in your graphics starting at 1:20 -- the values for sand are wrong .. you show 2.0 and 1.1 ... but that should be 1.05 and 0.89 ... I suppose since I assume that your table at 2:50 shows correct values for sand.. -- thanks for the good work otherwise!! (y)
Hi, If you were building a retaining wall in a river where there is lateral spreading in the past and the soil is largely sand, would a gabon wall be the best choice? You mentioned that they are good in rivers because if the settlement just unsure if this extends to lateral spread also.
Thanks Hugh for this great talk
Too Good..!!
Hi, Mr. Wilson, which contract system it belongs to? JCT or NEC or FIDIC
