Always adjust the settings to get the best exposure. Here i use ISO 500, 25fps, 1/50sec

HI, i'm not an expert in all these technical details. 250-300 meters can be reasonable if you have some objects which are blocking the signal, like trees, buildings and so on. Not sure if i understand your question regarding low power mode.
