Not being black enough 😅
❤❤❤
WOW! What a talent!
This reporter is a f-------
This was pure sheer brilliance from a genius level storyteller. Providing in fascinating fashion, the exceptional evidence of her complete command of her audience. You could hear a pin drop when she started the 'Alfie' story, the punchlines landing effortlessly especially the final knockout blow.."hey Rocky who's that. ? 😅😂❤
Gramps made his own reeds for sax and oboe. He had carefully kept reeds with different qualities. Each was labeled; Band, orchestra, cold, warm etc. as he scraped the shape he would hold it to the light to see exactly where the reed tip thinned, how far back it was and the thinness uniformity. In 1969 the music director at Florida Atlantic University filmed Milo and how he made reeds. Miss you gramps. 🎷🪈
Not to be mean or anything but most of the criticism that black singers get are from the same black community, Whitney got the same issue, are you black enough? Like really? She is just singing? Color doesn’t have to deal with anything. You have a voice that can touch people that’s enough!
Excellent video!
Minha diva eterna, amooooo !
Just classy !!!!!
Great singer and songwriter the early years the middle years he kind of lost focus too bad they had a lot of great hits They might’ve had more had he not been doing drugs and stayed on the the writing path
Yup
You can OVERthink and dissect music til it loses its essence. Pat is talented but I always found his music, (without Lyle) a bit anemic. It seems he tries to control too much. I find myself thinking, "Just PLAY, trust the muse to tell YOU what to do". And yeah, I absolutely HATE how he roasted Kenny. Some respect lost for Pat then.
This man was a genius & stayed true to himself & his music & spoke truth.. justice, love, poetry & history. He was in a way ahead of his time singing his magic words!! Today was my Curtis Mayfield Day! I truly love & resonate with his music.. especially his percussionist & the musicians he selected!!! I will be at your next concert in the 5D my Star Bro. Peace & Love. Abracadabra 🪄🪄🪄🪄🪄🪄🪄
What a beautiful soul and class.
Paul took a lot more acid than Brian ( so did John ) ... None of them had breakdowns ... that's real genius.
What a mess.
Such sound advice in any forum.
Wise words.
Another unknown weirdo giving an opinion nobody wants
A melhor de todos os tempos❤❤❤
It’s a blessing that he’s lived as long as he has after all he went through. I’m grateful cause I can’t think of too many other musical artists who bring what he brought to the table. He’s a legend and I say that about very few.
How lucky for him there was no fentanyl 🔥
Great lesson
Black people can be so toxic. So many legends were accused of being too white.
Rest in wonderful paradise Sergio Mendes
YOU CAN'T GET ANY BLACKER CAN YOU Ms.D❤ STRAIGHT JEALOUS ❤ I GET IT ❤
This is definitely a definition of a black queen with class and standing on business honey. Anybody plays her have to bring it and bring it all thought because she’s that queen. 👸 💜♎️😇🌎
You would need to take drugs to be in a overrated band like The Beach Boys. So America but they are pure garbage. I welcome the hate comments because nothing any of you clowns say means anything to me.😂
So wise 🙏🎶💖
True Legend!!!!
She have a voice of an angel. Miss Phyllis Hyman R.I.P.!!!!❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Black and no surgery with them Hoover nose
I get chills every time I air guitar to Santana. ORALE!!!🎉❤
I think he was a nice guy … Cher just dumped him as her star rose.
It was his friend and security. Hendrix biography is heartbreaking really. His childhood was dismally painful and sad.
I am color blind. I just love listening to beautiful music by beautiful singers.
"I regret taking drugs" is his conclusion, something to think about.
Bello
This was very good advice. Music is emotion. Technical skills notwithstanding, as soon as you start playing in "analyzation mode" the thrill is.gone so to speak. Head knowledge can be helpful but you gotta preempt that using those 40,000 neurons in the heart. ❤
I didn't.
Deflecting the question. Wise move.
It's October 2024 and we're STILL challenging folks blackness. Go Kamala
❤
Rest in peace Sir!!!
