This had me smiling from ear to ear while tears flowed out. Thanks for being so candid and raw telling your story. It's the little things in life that matter the most and can be a huge driving force in self actualization. Congrats my friend on your journey so far, and may you never stop until you reach the best you you can be. It's good to love your life and want to live it fully and funfully.

Life is a journey, my friend. Thank you for sharing your story. What an inspiring testimony! It's incredible because, as I listen to your journey, I'm also reflecting on my own plans for 2025-focusing on a healthier lifestyle, diet, and workout routine. Recently, I gained another pants size, and now I'm barely managing to fit into my work clothes. I let myself slip after two years of spiritual growth. Back in 2022, I was in the best shape I had been in for years, but now, almost three years later, I'm in worse shape than before. I allowed my anger towards God and how life has been lately to take control, especially with the numerous health challenges my wife faced, and of course, my surgery in 2023, and blaming things on our political figures in how our country has been and the world. Despite my best efforts to improve myself-working to be a better leader in my home, cutting down travel for my channel to spend more time with my family, and putting in overtime at my former job-I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere. My anger and sadness overshadowed the blessings God has given me, and I found comfort in food and drink. Now, as the year ends, I find myself in a place where my weight has become unsustainable. I can't continue this way. Lately, the Lord has been speaking to me, saying, "Please don’t be angry with me any longer. I love you, and I’ve got you." I realize I need to get healthier-for my wife, my son, and my niece. I’m praying that 2025 will be a year of transformation, not only for my channel but for my life, so I can feel better and live healthier. Jon, I am so proud of all that you’ve accomplished. You are exactly where God needs you and Angie to be. Continue being the encouragement you are to these vloggers, your viewers, followers, and subscribers. I’m so happy that Orlando is the place where you are making a difference in your health and your personal life. God bless you both, Jon and Angie. I don't know why, but I feel like sharing my story with you. And how my year went. Grow up in Florida with my grandparents as my mother tried to hide me and put me for adoption. My grandparents took me in after finding out. I was an angry kid at that time and used to keep myself. Soon we lost that house to a scam and moved away to Clay County, Florida. Being the woods wasn't really that great. Honestly, I just grew up anti-social and alone throughout those school days. Had family die and such during those years but never really felt anything as i was like the black sheep of the family. And truthfully, there's like not much exciting or really to say when growing up. Dad wasn't really in the picture, but that was for the best as.. he wasn't the.. greatest person to be around. I have siblings, but they were never there either. One of my brothers I wouldn't even see for years. Eventually, I just had to get out of that house. I wanted to follow my childhood dream of becoming a noble person, a hero. So, i joined the armed forces. Like you though, I had to lose a lot of weight as I was always one of the heavier set people that really needed to lose weight. So i spent months in the gym and eating a little better until i dropped from around 300 to 155 pounds, getting my short self into the Marines. It was tough, but I got through boot camp on my first try. Getting honor platoon in both Parris Island and SOI before going to Mississippi for my MOS training. I managed to get the best test score over my fellow Marines and the Navy men. As a result, they let me pick my duty station, and of course, I went to Japan. It seemed like everything was going great. I felt free, and like my boring, lonely loser of a life was looking up. Just before entering the fleet, I went from fitting my uniforms to suddenly everything changed. I somehow magically gained 65 pounds in literally two days. Forcing me to have to be in the BCP as soon as I entered the fleet. Even my PT dropped, struggling to do a single pull-up and running from ok to one of the most painful and exhausting things ever. The blood work and everything came up normal, so it didn't make sense how everything suddenly changed so rapidly. One strange thing that was found, however, was that the corpsmen found that something wasn't right about my lungs that they seemed off and couldn't figure out why. This is important info for later. No matter how much I ran, worked with the navy hospital, worked with nutritionists, PTed throughout the day, etc. My waist wouldn't shrink, and I was only gaining weight. I broke down a few times, crying alone that my childhood dream was being taken from me. I never drank, I never smoked, I never got a tattoo, I never got into trouble, I never had sex, but I did volunteer, gave blood, worked with the Marines and did what I could to be the better person while in service. Sadly, this didn't save my career, getting generally honorably discharge before 2 years of service, so i don't even qualify for benefits. All I can really say is how much I love the Marines and wish I could have stayed. That short time was the best of my life so far. So, I'm now back home. Feeling like the biggest failure and loser again. There's not much to show for my efforts as I'm now fat again. So, I ended up back with my grandparents. Got work with a company called Meals on Wheels as my main job and autozone for extra hours. Ended up losing my main job and insurance at the start of the year in 2024 after accidently breaking a side mirror on the truck. Afterward, my second job was being an asshole not giving me any work or hours because they wanted to transfer me to a different location, so I lost income for months. In that time, after I got fired, I developed a growing pressure and pain on the left side of my body. I tried to ignore it, but it became unbearable to a point that I couldn't even stand for an hour. One of the reasons my second job was being an asshole about giving hours. In may I went to the ER and they just explained it's nothing more than a simple pinched nerve, so all I had to do was take painkillers and wait for it to pass. During this time I was waiting for work. Which eventually after a long time of waiting, they made me a delivery driver in a new store so that I didn't have to be on my feet. It was nice, but didn't last long as the pain grow worse. I couldn't even sit or lay down comfortably anymore. Was even hard to squat, using the toilet was a painful nightmare, and breathing became painful as well. Around late September I was losing the ability to walk. Now I was forced home from work because I could no longer move without a walker. Finally my grandparents decided to stop trying to cheap out with clinics and take me the ER in the nearest hospital as I couldn't walk at all and fell over 3 times. The result, the hospital took it a lot more seriously and ran hours of testing. Discovering that I have a massive tumor covering up my chest and back. They said it's a type of rare bone cancer. And the reason for the suffering is because it's attacking my spine. I had to be transferred hours away immediate emergency back surgery. Having to have my spine operated on from D4 to D9. Removing parts of the cancer, bone, and having titanium rods screwed in its place. Because of the size I'd the cancer and location. The doctors couldn't remove it. Been in the hospital for weeks. Had to go to rehab to try to get my strength back and walk again. Soon going home but in need of radiation therapy. For weeks I was unable to do so because the insurance i was given denied the treatment. Which resulted in us having to go through social security to get emergency medicaid to do the treatment. By this time the cancer got bigger. On Thanksgiving, it was applying so much pressure onto my spine from it's larger size that my back popped. Turns out the pressure ended up causing a spinal fracture. Leaving me bed ridden and having to get transferred by ambulance to the ER again. Now I'm still in the hospital. Getting radiation and chemo weekly. Unable to walk and mostly alone in this place. They said I probably won't be out till next year because of how bad my situation is. So. I'm just here, alone, broke, and in pain, inside the cancer hospital. I really wish I could move to Orlando. But with my situation and no work, i don't see how it would be possible. As I'm someone who also loves the parks and would love a career working with them. Even if it's a UA-cam channel.

Thanks for sharing man. It's good to see that you are starting to come back from some dark times. I think sharing your experiences will help others in a similar situation. I was always a skinny guy and got picked on for that. I have been working out a little with you through the year and have been also feeling better about myself.
