Just so everyone knows I love speedrunning games but I don't take it seriously, I would rather stick to my own "personal best" (PB) Times then try to get a world record I'm also on the latest patch of the game. The timer is manual so the time is probably not exact.

So the biggest problem I see is that the game plays like you're visually desynced to your hand model. Like you're playing TF2 with your player world view model on and input delay. It's hard to grasp where the actual edge of your collision box is because your camera is in the center of it and the hitbox seems to move faster than the model does. Like I predicted: the game seems to mostly be a mix of baked with procedural animations where the best gimmick is the lighting and graphics of the engine. This isn't to understate or discredit these things, as they're definitely cool, add to the realism and are nonetheless very impressive for a smaller/indie studio. My biggest problem is that as I currently view the game: if I wanted to play an FPS that was hard to look at in adverse lighting conditions with awkward, imperfect movement and collision, I'd play DayZ because I have more of a thrill with the highs and lows in that game. Or Tarkov for more consistent and improved graphics. Or some CS2 (with it's more consistent, defined collision and refined movement) custom maps. BodyCam has a cool gimmick but unless it does something even more interesting than it's inspirations and fellow games like Ready or Not, SWAT or the Resident Evil survival elements, I'm really still not impressed by anything gameplay wise, but will at least be impressed by the cool mapping and uniquely applied techniques for awesome graphics. All this say, I'd probably just get it to play it with friends.
