Why choose a T1N Sprinter? And 4 tips for buying one
Переглядів 7 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I am going to explain to you why somebody would choose a T1N Sprinter over competitor vans. I'm also going to give you for tips or things to think about when going to purchase one.
Such a helpful video, thank you so much!!
It's meant to be drank. Keep reading🤦🏼♀️ If you want it thicker to eat with a spoon use only 4oz milk.
think i will make these in smoothie form lol
My 97 actually has speakers in there but got a set of 6.5 mid range speakers I wanna throw in there
I make them with 4-5 ounces of milk and eat them with a spoon. If you put 8 ounces of milk in them, it will be a shake rather than a bowl of oatmeal
Really appreciate this video man you saved me and many others a bunch of time!
I think the whole point of what they offering is that you can drink it in the go... I was thinking on giving a try, like someone that is not really used to having proper breakfast... You seems pretty acknowledgeable, is there any other product you think that could be a better option? It sucks when you see that many youtuber being paid for a review, appreciate your honesty lol
Hey man, was that the other side of the exterior cab panel on the inside behind where the speaker goes? I need to have a PDR guy remove a dent on the side of the cab and wondering if that’s basically the rear of the panel. Looks like it had some sort of matting on it though?
checking in 8/18/2024 Hows the temu desk so far?
Why choose a T1N Sprinter? Mainly because it doesn't have DPF and DEF
It looks like there is a seam down the temu desktop. Are there 2 panels?
how is that desk hold up from temu i'm thinking to get one from them
Good!
Can you share the installation video
The link isn't taking me to the desk itself
I was looking for this. thank you so much for sharing
I got the desk aswell and mine came in like 3 or 4 days too
i wonder what happened to your built?
thanks for sharing your opinion on it. the link doesn't go to any product, but my guess is that a few different sellers are selling the same or similar
I bought an 06 t1n with 70k for 12k It's a factory camper conversion. Best thing about them is the millage. Easy to work on based on the fact they are 90's technology. The worst part is that they ride like crap! You will feel every crack and bump in the road but they will run forever!
Just upgrade the suspension
I found one for 71k miles for $16,900. The guy replaced almost everything. Still on the fence! “2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500, High Roof, Long Wheel Base 2.7L Turbo Diesel, Dually 71700 Original miles 2 Master Keys 1 Owner Clean Title and Clean Carfax Excellent Condition for A Year and Miles! Ice Cold AC Just Serviced: New Engine Oil New Fuel Filter New Brake Pads New Transmission Fluid and Filter New Rear Differential Fluid “
Thank you!

There were quite a few motorhome companies who built on the sprinter van chassis. Roadtrek, pleasureway, Leisure way, airstream, and Forest River come to mind. As far as parts go there is a company in Pennsylvania called million miles sprinter and he has tons of parts and kits. There is also Florida van man, who is a wealth of information and he's even got a Facebook group with about 3500 members. Member support each other and it's a good resource. I agree with Martin's comment below. Very few shops will will work on these things. You can have oil changes done or perhaps suspension parts replaced, maybe put in a new alternator or something, but in general when it comes to diagnosing codes, the big shops don't want anything to do with these. If you can change your own oil though you can probably fix most things on these vans. That comment came from Bill at Florida van man. Best thing to do in my opinion if you own one is get yourself a bunch of spare parts, and have tools on board, jacks, OBD II readers, and An Internet connection to connect with the van group. You're probably going to be fixing things yourself. The good news is The T1N came before all the emissions crap, and I have seen vans online with 500,000 plus miles on them, and you can get 20+ MPG. Pretty amazing reliable engine if you take care of them and I think that's why they have such a great following. Biggest issue I found is finding one that's rust free, and the seams on the roof is a really bad design and prone to leaks and rust.
Well Done
Stay away from these 6.5" kicker speakers, get the 6.5" Rockford Punch, way better the quality!
Maybe not an issue in drier areas, but take time to check the side gutters where the roof is glued to the side panels. If the sealant dries out it can leave a gap and let water in. Pretty easy fix with some Sikaflex or CT1 but a few dabs spot welding inside holding the panel to the frame wouldn’t hurt
Yo yo what up? New subscriber here. On my second and last sprinter. Keeping the old gal for life and I live in her full time. Thanks for the video
Good video you’re the man. Thanks for the t-100 help, hope to see more!
Mine had some dinky little 4 inch speakers in the back from the factory, but I designed a metal panel to adapt 6 1/2s in that space. Sounds much better.
Just found 3 T1N sprinters in a junkyard all the same parts are broken LOL
Good info! That's the kind of videos I couldn't find years ago when I just got my T100
About suspension, is compatible with Tacoma1 gen or tundra 1 gen ? Any recomendations i want to change it
Those trucks went over to Coilover suspension. I'd personally say the T100 is more on the old school 89-94 Pickup suspension wise. Buy KYBs. Toyota sourced shocks from them for these trucks when new. The difference after I put them on is major. Improved the ride quality a lot.
Hey I watched Yur video and didn’t see the speaker bracket
Thanks for making this video...now I can take mine apart...its a 95 extra cab but I think someone already put speakers in the back but are torn now and need to be replaced.
Finding ANYTHING for my T100 is hard jus cuz there isn’t much out there thanks a lot
Super helpful. Thanks so much.
Ill be picking up a 2004 on Tuesday. Can’t wait to get going on it. I’m also in San Diego.
very complete and clear Thank you my shop wants $1100 to replace mine (1997 toy 4runr v6)
I have a 95 and I wanna get suggestion on upgrades so if anyone could help lmk
Good video dude, Hope to see more content! I have a 96 t100 sr5 sub model, and im going to end up replacing the front speaks cause there pretty much done for and rattle at higher volume the back ones are still good but going to end up replacing them as well. Arent the front door speakers 5.25 and the back 6.5?
I’m not sure about a 96 but my 97 is 6.5 all the way around. I just replaced the fronts yesterday and I’m about to replace the rears now
I'm surprised that a T100 with electric locks and windows didn't include the rear speakers. I have a 97 T100 and it has rear speakers. Maybe the original owner had them installed, but I doubt it. I had some nice speakers that I wanted to use to replace the door speakers, but the speakers were too deep. I got some T100 speaker adapters from Crutchfield that are like the ones in this video but deeper. So if you are going to do a rear speaker install like in this video, Crutchfield is the place to source the plastic speaker adapters.
They had a package to add it mine has them but this video really helped cause j been wanting to change them their alright but I need better😂
As someone already said the speakers used to be an extra option. My 96 ExtraCab truck has manual everything (Locks, Windows, and Mirrors) but came optioned with a CD player and 3 speakers. 2 Front and 1 on Passenger Rear.
If it's a crime to park on the side of the road and sleep there at night, whether in an RV or any other vehicle, then don't do it. Do not violate the letter of the laws, nor the purpose of the laws. Repent and believe in the gospel of Jesus the Son of God, the Savior of the world.
Jesus drove an extended 170 sprinter (he had a bunch of disciples that chilled with him).....he approves of stealth van life!!! ✌️
Jesus would be in a T1N

Hi handsome bo. Big bo. Great channel and topic. I'm looking into buying a t1n today. Thanks for your time.
The T-100 might be able to use the rear speaker parts off a '95 - '00 extended cab Tacoma, the speaker grills are the same and it also uses a mounting plate that bolts right into the existing holes in the body. I'm doing it into a '93 XtraCab Pickup, which doesn't have rear speakers & instead has storage cubbies in that location - so I needed the grills out of the Tacoma, the mounting brackets aren't quite right but can be made work. See: ua-cam.com/video/tr10FwQaHxk/v-deo.html
Thank you for the video. I’m getting ready to do the same thing to my 97 SR5 Greatly appreciated
Nice video. Where did you hook up the wiring ? To a harness or straight to the stereo?
Thanks for watching. I spliced the wires into the existing harness.
@@beauandtryshyou mind showing what you mean?
Thanks for this video - still waiting on more content though?
If you want to buy a T1N, you need to either know someone who works on them, OR be committed to working on it yourself. For whatever reason, they are a bastard child. But I love my T1N. And I wrench on it myself.
How are they a bastard child? I prefer working on autos I myself personally.
My #1 tip: don’t. Have had my van for 2 years and put roughly 5k miles on it and it’s been extremely expensive to maintain. Everything that can go wrong, does. I’ve probably spent as much on maintenance as I did buying the van.
Probably cause you're taking it to a shop charging $125 + per hour
Hey buddy I have been rebuilding a 20 year old T1N on my channel for years now... Lots of crap videos on my channel, good luck with your van and your channel, subscribed
thanks, appreciated. Likewise.
