I pull 350 lbs on caterpillars so many times, and it’s not just one bolt it’s 8, when a head has to be changed, pulling 300 …and 28 pounds is not that difficult and I’m not impressed. But I have pulled head bolts on other engines that were 600lbs, that’s a whole other animal. It’s basically almost impossible.

When was this wrench validated? Just want to make sure that ISO standards are being met. Witness marks are great no issues there but put an external (calibrated) transducer at the end to really show the amount of torque applied along with a residual check following that

Didn’t lube the gasket with diesel and fully sent it via rattle gun without starting the threads with your fingers. Quality work will always top quick work. Take some pride in what you do. Way too many “can’t see it from my house” or “it’s not my rig” mentalities nowadays

Bro your 328 ft lbs is wrong, have your torque wrench calibrated. Let that be a lesson to you all. Had 10 wrenches calibrated 9 were off, some way off.

He had to turn that wrench almost 180 degrees. But without the extensions, he just moves the wrench a couple inches.. you have to twist more to torque something down with extensions

If people actually understood physics, this wouldn't be a surprise and it wouldn't need proving. You get FLEX with added extensions, but the force you apply overall is the SAME force that is applied at the nut end. If this wasn't the case, where is all that force going you think? It doesn't spark into the air and the extensions don't heat up... So WHERE else could that energy go? By that same logic, you'd need less strength in your rope the longer it becomes as you are mountain climbing... And to be honest, if that is what you think then i beg you to do it so we can fix the problem by removing it from the gene pool.
