Create your own collage papers - ropes
Creating unique collage papers is part of my process and recently I've been drawn to the shapes and patterns of old ropes and nets found in ports and harbours. I've been creating a stash of papers that I can now use in my mixed media collages - have a look over my shoulder as I work.

Pink ink! I found this jar of waterproof ink in a charity shop and I couldn't resist. Watch as I have a play and create a whole new stash of pink papers for my collection. You don't need lots of fancy tools to make your own collage papers - some paint, paper and something to scrape with will do (here I use an old store card). Watch over my shoulder as I create a stash of papers to use in future projects.

The desk is a mess but it's real life! I worked on these small collages over the Christmas holidays in short snatches of time between the festivities. I set myself limitations to make it easier. It's a difficult balance to figure out, but once the "trick" is found, easy peasy to make the two the same level.

I was wondering the same…. Will these reactivate with wet medium❓. I love that color blue it’s almost like the cyanotype. I’d like to make some of these lovely papers. Great demo.
