I just hate how digimon disregards digimon partners so much. Like, they are either monster of the week, info dumper, big badie or "yes, man" partner. With very few outlayers. For a franchise who tries to say "digimon are alive" and "digimon are friends". They sure love using digimon are nothing more than monsters and tools. Look at Digimon Story games, you can fucking delete digimon like they were toys. Digimon world? I can abuse my digimon to get recompensated with a cool Skullgreymom or outright let it pup itself to later get Monzaemon. And lets not even talk how the "competitive" side makes this even worse. And that's without even taking into consideration that digimon are sentient. It's a shame that i have to say pokemon... no, monster ranches, dinoking and fucking fossil fighters makes me care more about the creature than the franchise where my creatures can talk. It's specially aggravating with Monster Rancher because they are digital monsters too, in a way. But, they do have personalities and personal goals. I juat wish the show was overall better written, but I cared about the little party of monsters much more than any partner digimon.

4:13 here in Brazil digimon was in the same level as pokemon, especially because we kinda got the English opening and put some good lyrics and the dub was great using the English version of the names BUT pronouncing the japanese name some times making us familiar with other related mídia

In India they had the Japanese names, soundtrack and opening/ending for hindi dub. But from Digimon Frontier they localized the opening/ending. Naturally I still remember the openings of first three seasons by heart but not Digimon Frontier. Also, Adventure is better than Tamers. But I watched Digimon The Movie in youtube all the way back in 2009. I loved every second of it. So many jokes are dub only.

At this day i feel like not only digimon other IP who try to make human & monster partnership always call pokemon rip off. Yokai watch, Monster Rancher and Ni no kuni was what in my mind. And i don't know Palworld make it batter of worse because they literally copy pokemon "not game play but model".Like yeah that make people know other game than pokemon exist but also i scared if other IP doing the same just for short hype. I mean who need to try if you just copy other and still sell well, went othet IP try to differentiate each other so people can choice what they like they most. Like you know people have different tastes if all the same what the point???

I liked Pokemon as an anime up until Ash lost during the Indigo League. And I only really got into the 1st gen Gameboy Pokemon games. Never bothered with anything else despite really wanting the N64 Pokemon Stadium games. Always loved the Digimon anime series 1,2, and 3. Didn't care for season 4 although that intro song was a banger. Never played a Digimon game though. Also I am talking about the American releases. I didn't get into any other releases.

Even the German Dub especially the Soundtrack is better than the American One. Because they tried to be as close as the Original. That said i for sure hate the Digimon Movie. The German version was also the mixed Abomination that should been three separate Movies. Thank God they redo it now at least in America i heard. I only hope we in Germany get the same Treatment. I want to watch the older Digimon Movies like they are supposed to be. Especially the Tamers or Frontiers Movie should leave Japan and be brought towards America and Europe in their Languages. Digimon i always liked more because of the Heavy Themes and because Tamers did inspire me towards writing my own Storys or writing Fanfictions. I hope the next Digimon Show as well Game will be great. When not they should make Remakes of the older Games. Digimon has alot of Potential as well Pokemon. Sadly Bandai doesnt always use it that well. Pokemon also doesnt use their Potential very well. Thats one of the Reasons why i write my Storys. Because i dont want to waste all that Potential.

The problem of Digimon now is it NEED that pokemon formula CONSISTENCY. From S1 (Using Dub language) to S5 It was good to meh. Then you have Xrox Wars. DONT GET ME STARTED WITH IT.....ESPECIALLY Xrox S3 (Using Jap language) I hear stuff about Ghost game. Many was meh to bad. For I complete HATE Appmon that still I just cant shake off.....AND Tri (Note hate the girl and the mon but would not wish that ending on any character digimon) and THE REBOOT. (Aka the Tai show. My charecter alright but WHY......S1 was remember for almost everyone have something to do) Cyber Sleuth put it on the map. Next order was an improvement to the OG world game. But I'm more interest on the OG protag then the new one. I hear mix things on Survive all I hear it a more "edge" of Tamer. Problem is....In this day and age sometime one have to wonder do people really want Heros? Do tthey even want "Happy ending"?......

Here in Brazil they copied the american intro for season 1, but THANKFULLY kept the rest of the japanese OST intact, butterfly was somehow not entirely deleted because of this. For season 2 onwards, we kept the original japanese OSTs, or dubbed them, preserving the original melody of course.

The dub is auditory cancer, seriously. The moment I saw the original in japanese, I slam dunked the Americanization in the trash where it belongs.

Considering I was in middle school when the Pokémon games came out and high school when Digimon first premiered, I have taken a liking to Digimon. While I don’t hate Pokémon, Digimon with its story, characters, and lore is just more appealing to me. As someone who is older I appreciate Digimon as a whole better.

You make some very strong points. The soundtracks however I'm split on. I love Braveheart but at the same time I adore the digirap. They both have their use and proper moments imo. The Digimon movie was my first exposure to Digimon as a kid and remains to this day as one of my all time favorites. I recognize that's an unpopular opinion, but there's just so much hype in every big moment combined with the soundtracks and voices of the digimon which I felt fit in extremely well.

I watched Digimon in the Philippines and they kept Brave heart and Butterfly. That was eng version sin was not putting these song. Im 32 years old now and hearing these songs from time to time gives me hope and goosebumps.

In south america we got a really good version, uncensored with superb voice acting, ost was the same except for the opening and ending which were translated and but man they were really good you should check out the intro in spanish and you will see, it sucked when I went to the US and heard the digi rap xD

You can incorporate Gigantic Champion sargas and Merrymaker springgan to add Discoloseum and/or regulus. Really useful to play around nib if you don't open Brave. Gigantic splight + iblee is also an option for the end board. Basically instead of barricadeborg bloquer, your OP have an iblee. Very cool tech. It is possible to pair it with Borrelsword ( summoned with IP ) to change Iblee to defense when the OP would try to crash it.

Have you thought about using Immortal Phoenix Gearfrid since union equip cards count as equip spells. And as a go second he's able to steal an opponent's monster and negate/destroy another monster.
