    Buyer beware: my KH14G Pro is a lemon; 25 hrs on meter when delivered, gas cap broke when tried to refuel, could not operate machine until new cap shipped to me. Oil drain plug seized in machine. Grease fitting on cylinder are had no grease in it. Operated only 1 hour, received new cap, refueled machine and tried to drive it. Now won't turn left or right, only straight forward and backward. Asked Groundhog to pick up this machine and refund my money. Groundhog advised they will not refund the $250 Gardner discount on purchase price because they already paid Mr. Gardner his commission.

    You warranty the Kubota engine for 1 year. The Kubota website says " Kubota warranties its industrial engines for 2 years or 2,000 hours, whichever occurs first; major engine components are warrantied for 3 years or 3000 hours. I have the ZH24D-2 and I am having difficulty keeping my rubber tracks on. I am only able to finger-tighten the lock-nut on the tensioner screw because I can not reach it with a wrench inside the deep opening. The lock-nut on the tensioner screw is not in the view of the access window so putting a wrench to it is not possible. Also, what is the exact width of the tensioner screw-head?

      @@groundhogequipment I am looking for a 4.5-to-5.5-ton excavator and a trailer to tow it with. New or used with less than 2500 hours on it. I do take pride in the appearance of my equipment, but decals are not my focus. A big machine digs more dirt in less time. I want to do work around 2 of my residential properties. One project is a nuclear war fallout/ bomb shelter, so secrecy is a primary concern. Does Ground Hog have anything in this size. I am thinking I will put about 500 hours on the machine and then put it up for sale when I am done. I wonder what the price drop might be on a Chinese excavator with that many hours.

I have not done the research to see if Groundhog is actually the old Groundhog company that my grandfather and father has loved but it sure seems so. Other than what looks to be the digging claws bolted on the wrong side of the bucket (I have seen them both ways) these are what I would think of when I hear Groundhog. Super cool. I have had several other mini excavators however none have ever made me impressed like these. I know I will be looking at the intermediate size for a long term investment on the next buy. • @groundhogequipment
      @groundhogequipment Місяць тому

      The grease track tensioners generally work well and are easy to use. Very few of our customers have reported issues with leaks and loss of tension over time. Regular inspection and maintenance are key to preventing these issues. Ensuring the seals and fittings are in good condition can help maintain proper tension and avoid leaks. Despite these potential drawbacks, many operators find the grease system more convenient and less labor-intensive compared to threaded tensioners.

    Honesty, integrity and attention to detail. That is exactly what I get from your videos. I couldn’t be happier that I stumbled onto your channel when trying to do my homework for the purchase of my first mini excavator. At this point I going back and forth between one of the 14 series or 20. As you said in previous videos, everyone wants the Kubota engine and I must admit I’m not an exception. There are other options/goodies that you offer too that I just may have to have like expandable tracks, etc,. Please keep producing content. As I get closer, I will contact your office and get the ball rolling. Just a side note . . . This is probably not the place to ask, but I do it so possible others may be looking as I am and it may spark conversation on your channel. Have you though of ever offering mini excavator trailers to add to the purchase of an excavator? I know there are registration, tagging, etc., that you probably wouldn’t want to get into, but at this point I would feel confident that you made sure they were the best to fit my needs. You would do your spin on them. I have my eye on nice setup and would love your thoughts. Thank you . . . Stan D
