Emotional Healing for Parents of Children with Autism
Thank you for addressing this important issue. Special education needs more support, as too many children are being left behind or pushed through the system without adequate help. As a parent, I've had to hire expensive outside resources because schools often lack the training and resources necessary for special education. It's a constant, exhausting battle every year when it comes to IEPs.
Such a cute and beneficial story. I can't wait to play this for my kids. Thanks for sharing it.
Wow!! Those are amazing results. How can I get my son the same help??
😊
Seems like you enjoy your work.
Haha that’s me
I have it, I got it from my mom, my mom didn't know she was dyslexic till I told her about it and how I have it, my mom says she got it from her mom now that she knows that dyslexia.
Do IEP's use these methods ?
This is really helpful but we can hear you fart at 18 seconds in
We were told that my daughter doesn’t have dyslexia, yet she still finds reading very difficult and she has trouble with comprehension. Her dad and sister have it and weren’t diagnosed until they were adults. Does this sound like stealth dyslexia? Someone I know who works at a dyslexia center said she believes my daughter has dyscalculia and dysgraphia as well.
title 1 math not helping my kid either
Hello dear, I was analyzing your UA-cam Channel. Your content is amazing. You are constantly uploading videos. But unfortunately, you can’t get enough views and subscribers, because your videos are not properly SEO optimized. I found some problems with your channel. So, would you like to fix and talk about this problem for a while?
I'm the only person in my family who is completely Undiagnosed and the only one who never got counseling or help. I can devour chapter books in no time. Context clues are something that I use a lot. I have trouble with writing because I can't remember how to write a letter half the time and my spelling is frequently not salvageable with autocorrect. Remembering the order of letters in the alphabet is also difficult. I definitely still get in trouble for writing letters backwards in random spots. I'm looking at setting up a consultation next year for an Undiagnosed math learning disability and a few other things but I'll see about bringing this up as a possibility as well. Thank you for this because I really didn't know that this was a thing.
Hi, I’m an adult who has dysgraphia (diagnosed as a kid in the early 2000s). Thanks helping start spread awareness!
🥰
We're Christians and we celebrate Hanukkah! Jesus is the light of the world! and we are lights as well. I make pretty good latkes!
Thank you for sharing, and it's wonderful to hear about your unique celebration of Hanukkah! The symbolism of light is truly universal, and it's great that you find joy in being lights in the world. Your latkes sound really good - wishing you a joyous and blessed Hanukkah season! 🕎🌟
I'm sorry, I still don't understand what the difference is. The school district tried to imply that my daughter had Ireland syndrome and gave her a green screen that was just annoying to her. They insisted on it and for that reason they didn't give her early intervention for dislexia. It took eight years for her to be able to graduate from HS because she couldn't read. The last two years, she received some accommodations. With APEX she was able to complete the 8 classes she needed to get her diploma, still it took 2 years for that. They exempt the writing part because due to Dysgraphia she used to take about two weeks to write a single paragraph. Also she forgot everything what she learned of math, so at the end they asked her that if the had $10. what would she might be able to get from a list...that was ridiculous. Now that she is in college, she can't read, write, or do math... She is terrified of start taking classes, such as English, Reading, History that need a lot of reading/writing, and of course math. She is very intelligent, but not getting that early intervention affected for life. I don't have a way to afford for classes where she can learn the methods to help her with LD, so I go with her in her college classes to help her to read/write, which I'm sure I'm not doing the best job because English is my second language, but there is no other help. I also help her with other documents like reading and filling out forms. I live her a d I do it gladly and the best way I can (but what is she going to do without my help?). DSS only has few resources, and that is only while she is taking classes. I would be very careful with that Ireland syndrome matter because, by experience, it doesn't help everyone. Demand to the school district to make a good evaluation and consult with the medical specialists about the results. I would like to know if you have affordable or free information to help adults who never received early intervention, like in my daughter's case. Thank you
Hi! Jess will be creating a video in response to your questions, shortly. 🙂
I agree, "learning difference" is a more appropriate term! 💯
💯

Finding the help and affording the help 😵💫. We're working through Ronit Bird's Dyscaculia Toolkit currently. Not an easy task.
My psychology lecturer spotted the symptoms after reading an essay of mine. She questioned if someone else had written my essay. As linguistics vs written word did not match. After a short conversation she advised me to speak to student support. Long story short I was diagnosed with this. In uni I got 25mins extra in exams, and got help understanding sentence structure and syntax. Ref reading I just don't take it it, however my recollection to audio books is insane. We are all different 👌👌
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Your story highlights the importance of understanding and accommodating different learning styles. It's heartening to hear how you received the support you needed, and your success in overcoming challenges is truly inspiring. We appreciate your contribution to the conversation about Stealth Dyslexia and embracing our uniqueness!
