@@christos8189 I believe I did but honestly it was a while ago. I know I did blank a bcm2 (the one in the trunk) I think because I lost Internet connection.

@@homebuiltgarage7701 Any idea if it was more than one module? I cannot for whatever reason get immobilizer data read by my x431 with xprog3. I tried to follow a video for a hyundai because all the videos for audi show a simple log in and thats it but mine has not worked like yours Thanks

I believe you can also add keys. I haven't needed to yet.

If it works with All Key Lost which is the top of immobilizer security of course it will add a key.

There isn't any that I have had to. And I have a friend who has a snap on 5-6k$ scanner who has had me do stuff he couldn't.

@homebuiltgarage7701 thanks for your reply i do mobile jobs and I work at a full time garage and my garage has a 6k snap on scanner they use my scanner instead because its better and does more. they call the snap on scanner a door stop or glorified service resetter. OK well I look forward to testing the launch out because I have the autel I mainly use and a cheap cheerful launch which I used when o struggled to communicate at times so thought I'd get a more expensive better launch which opens up more programming and diagnostics for my mobile company i have started 😀 thanks for your helpful response 👍

Yea you can do keys. It links in with the one that plugs into the car. I have a video on all keys lost on my Audi on here.

I know. It may be now. I haven't looked in a while. I know every time the tool updates it changes a bit of the functions.

Is this an issue only on VW? Can you show some live data and bi-directional controls? How about showing data graphing or showing the tablet side of the tool? There are so many things you can showcase

It all came with the launch scan tool. I believe it's a prog5 by launch

It's a good tool just depends what you want to use it for. The biggest issue I have is lack of info on how to use certain functions.

What function as I need it for my daily job to diagnose faults as I don’t want to waste money if no good as £1000 plus is a lot of money

From what I have used it for its been good for diag. My friend has a snap on and he had issues hooking to a vw passat and he borrowed mine and did what he needed to do with no issues. He was looking at Def Temps and stuff.

If it were me I would look at these and the autel. I was stuck between both and got this so I was able to do a key for my audi project. Also there seams to be alot more videos on UA-cam for the autel brand.

Honestly I am kinda split on it. Depends on what you plan to do I guess. There is not a lot of tech support. Launch USA doesn't even know it exists when I called them so that's not an option. I had a issue where I blanked a bcm2 in my Audi while trying to program a steering column lock module. I did loose internet wifi while programming so this may be on me. But really I think for key programming I would just pay someone to do it next time. Other than that all other functions I have done have worked good. Haha funny you ask. See my other video on the S4 I'm doing. It can do it from what I have read. I did blank a bcm2 on my Audi S4 trying to do it but that's all in me for not doing the procedure correctly. My battery voltage went below 11.3 I will be adding another video of that when I get the new key fobs. I don't think it's a issue with the scanner as much as it is an issue with proper procedure..... Overall I'm pretty happy with it. I have only had it for about two months now though. I have hooked to a few different makes and they all over similar options as far as what you can do. Live graphing is nice. Has a screenshot button always available at the bottom of the screen that could also be useful. I only had one vehicle I didn't see a lot on and that was a 96 k1500. I was unable to turn off daytime running lights. Not that I chased it that far as this vehicle has a lot of electrical gremlins. I was able to change parameters on multiple other vehicles like a 2001 gm, 2012 vw, 2010 Audi, 2014 jeep. I do believe all oems and scanners will soon be a pay to play basis, at least that's what our snap on dealer tells us.
