Chipping: Never Ever Ever Duff It Again!
Переглядів 65211 днів тому
There are two key elements of the golf swing and set up in a chip shot that cause you to hit those fat duff shots where you hit behind the ball and only send the ball a few feet forward. Counteract those two things, and you’re nearly guaranteed to never hit a shot like that again. Improve your greenside play by following along with Golf Digest Top 40 Under 40 Instructor Joe DiChiara as he expla...

Is Extension BAD For Your Swing?
Переглядів 917Місяць тому
Is extension truly bad for your swing, or do all the golf coaches out there have it wrong? The truth is, extension is critical for a solid swing, and for creating distance. The key is knowing how and when to use it! Watch as Joe DiChiara describes the proper use of extension in the golf swing.
So i'm not supposed to follow "the are swing illusion" video ?
Cup your lead wrist to expose the bounce. Nice.
Take the grip in impact attitude.
A flat lead wrist shows a little cup because the fingers are wrapped around the grip.
it doesn't have to stay outside on the takeaway
@@itsnotokgolf yes golf swings can look different for everyone 🤙🏻
This is what works for me
happy to hear it!
And then shows the club outside on impact 😂
This helped me so much today on the course! I've tried everything. Was hitting my irons so much better, great tip!
thats great to hear! we are glad you're enjoying the tips!
I hate this. Will cause your right arm to push into chest too early, leading to an over the top delivery.
What about Dustin?
I’m a 2 handicap and have been working on your tip this week. (Right palm down on the take away). This is by far the best tip I have ever gotten. By doing this, it takes little to no effort to return the club to the ball squarely. Thank you so much!!!
LOVE hearing it and happy to help!
Another top notch h vid. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
God I hate golf
😂😂😂
My left arm gets caught in my chest if im this close. Idk how to fix it yet, ive only started practicing golf for 2 weeks
Do you need to open the club face? Thanks for such clear and informative videos! I really appreciate your work!
Your lessons are money!
We are glad you're enjoying them. Stay tuned for more to come!
Can go outside of the ball on the backswing if the ground on the inside is high. Redirect clubhead on the downswing to the inside so can hit the ball square. Keep the top hand low and bottom hand fingers flared out to balance the club. Open the stance for a wide arc. 5 wood is best as it can slide.
Another UA-cam golf “coach” talking bollocks
Is it not better to just grip the club more open?
Tiger Woods 2000 golf swing did he shallow the club I don't think so
What’s your point?
Shallowing the club is so not needed.
@@adamgonzales2471 not for everyone and not in every circumstance, you’re correct on that one! 🤙🏻
Great tip thanks!
👍👏👏👏 well said
Thanks! 🙌🏻
or, start with your lead shoulder.
Did you just learn how to grip properly in the bunker you don't have to even think about that
Good tip. One of many swing flaws I need to fix.
We're happy it helped!
Not true. Everyone’s swing is different. If it works for you that’s great. People have different builds , body types , flexibility, etc etc. no two golf teachers teach the same.
Ok boomer
@@PeterPula-z9k 100% we stand behind the “swing your own swing” philosophy… these are general tips that work best for most though 😄
Shit made me smile
I just rehearsed that without a club and what you said about feeling like the right palm is facing down seems like magic. When I do that my left wrist is naturally flat at the top and right wrist extended naturally. Can’t wait to try it!
let us know how it transpires on the course!
Nice slice lol
It was a mini draw you donkey. Lol
You simply need to line up 1 inch behind the ball, swing smooth and always follow through
It all depends on the firmness of the sand. Firm sand vs. Soft sand - two very different techniques.
****No, it does not depend on the firmness of the sand. Does not matter whether the student is on the Tee, the fairway or the bunker ----->>> unless you're a tour level player.....Do Not use your Hands/Wrists to change the position of a clubface on the backswing...Period!
So, super hard sand - use the bounce? Seriously?
My comments were directed towards not using your hands and wrists to manipulate the club face (nor the face angle) during the swing action. Regarding your firm sand question.... That depends on a few factors such as how skilled are you? Are you a scratch player or are you a 20 handicapper? When you say firm sand are you talking...the surface of the sand is firm, but underneath it it's not so firm. Or are you talking you're playing the local Muni where the bunkers are washed out and it's now just dirt and mud, basically. Giving you an answer to that question would be doing you a disservice. What you need to do is get into a bunker (like that) and start hitting shots to discover what's works for you or not. For a general answer..... the firmer the sand the less bounce is needed.
Great tip. Cup the wrist, open the club face
It is a great tip for hitting out of a bunker
We're glad you enjoyed it!
Simple drill. Does bring back the feel which is a good thing.
Very good
It looks like you r roughly 30 feet. From this distance your dispersion is going to be roughly 25 percent short 75 percent long. If you are having your students hit all their putts past, their dispersion pattern will be worse, leading to more 3 putts. A putt from this distance that is a foot short is way better than a 4 footer beyond the hole. Yes?
I don't know many golfers that are ever happy leaving a putt short...
@ You’re 32 feet from the hole, would you rather be 4 feet past or a foot short?
@@DavidECollinsGolf If I'm leaving them short more often there's no chance it goes in... so yeah you'd think being closer means a better putt... but it probably means higher scores over time.
