Would you take your seat again or the bulkhead infront the of the toilets up ahead row 44 😂 for on overnight 9 hr flight help deciding please
If I were to fly from Sydney to Honolulu again I would probably go with a different carrier like Qantas or Hawaiian who much better service and seats but they are more expensive. If I were to do this route again with Jetstar I would probably pick my seat in row 50 again because being right by the toilets in row 44 for a 9 hour flight probably wouldn’t be great in my opinion. Jetstar also has a pretty decent Business Class for a little extra money but it all depends on how much you’re wanting to spend. If you don’t mind being near the toilets then the extra legroom in row 44 would be quite good. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps!
Well done .
@@RonnieCashman Thanks! 👍
Amazing!, I was very happy that I got to see some pc 21 down at Launceston last year! It was magical ur quite lucky that u saw them!!!
Yeah, they were incredible to see especially because they flew over so low. I remember your video so clearly and I have to say, I think I do prefer the red livery over the grey one in my video but the PC21 is still one of my favourite RAAF aircraft.
I saw them myself and seeing the bike riders too
Oh, nice! It was definitely pretty cool to witness!
Never been on Jet Star, always with air New Zealand and Qantas
@@FaleFaraimo-eb7iu Oh, nice. To be honest you’re not missing out on much. Air New Zealand and Qantas are much more enjoyable carriers compared to Jetstar. Thanks for watching!
Hi Levi, been to Honolulu about 4 times over the last 30 years. Flown Qantas or Hawaiian. Really enjoyed the service on Hawaiian last time. Dont like the Dreamliner as i went to Vancouver in a Qantas Dreamliner about 15 months ago. Worst trip ever on Qantas, seats very uncomfortable Torture for 14 and half hours. Premium Economy is the way to go if you want to be comfortable.
Hey Brian, thanks for your comment! It’s awesome you’ve been to Hawaii four times, I personally would love to go back. I was quite surprised to hear you didn’t enjoy your Qantas 787 experience, I have always been told great things about them. If I were to go back to Hawaii or fly another longer route I do agree with what you said, Premium Economy is definitely the way to go even if it costs a little extra. I’m still yet to try Premium Economy, Qantas International and Hawaiian Airlines but hopefully I can in the near future. Thanks for watching Brian!
Between the Qantas A330 and Jetstar B787 on the same Sydney to Honolulu return flight ,there is only 1 inch (2.5 cm) difference in seat pitch , the widths are the same
Hey Graham, thanks for watching! I totally wasn’t aware that the difference between Qantas and Jetstar was so similar, I would have thought Qantas’ seats to be much wider than Jetstar’s. Now that I know this it makes me feel like I didn’t miss out as much if my family and I went with Qantas instead. Thanks again for watching, it’s much appreciated!
Awesome trip report Levi; loved it! New subscriber here for sure! Thank you.
Hey Kate, I’m very glad to hear you enjoyed this one. Thank you so much for the subscription, I really appreciate the support towards my channel. Thanks for watching!
You should come to New Zealand Christchurch
It’s funny you mention that because Christchurch is one of the top places I want to visit. I would love to visit along with Auckland, Wellington and Queenstown so hopefully I can soon. I may possibly be doing a New Zealand road trip in the coming years so hopefully I can make this a reality. Thanks for watching!
Great video - thanks for sharing your experience. This was your first wide body aircraft, hey!? How exciting.
Hey, thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed this one! Yeah, this was in fact my first wide body flight and fortunately it was on one of the best aircraft. Definitely a great way to start off my wide body journey. Thanks again for watching! 😃
Reminds me of the fokker 100
Yeah, I think so too. I would love to fly on the Fokker 100 before it gets retired, such a cool aeroplane. Thanks for watching!
LauNNNNNceston.
Awesome video
Thanks!
Nice one Levi. I flew the QF 737-800 from Perth to Sydney on 3 nov and the experience was good. I was able to use the wifi on the 737-800 where I can watch some UA-cam videos, browse through social media, read news, send emails and more. I can watch some videos on my own device. The overhead TV screens had the ABC News supplied to all passengers. Bear in mind, the older generation 737-800 jets (with BYO device) has got tired and are set to be replaced with a new a321Neo jets.
Thanks, happy to hear you enjoyed this one! Nice, I’m glad to hear you also enjoyed your Qantas 737 flight from PER to SYD. It’s definitely a good aeroplane to fly on especially because of the WiFi and TV screens for the passengers but I totally agree. The QF 737’s are getting old and out of date so I believe the new A321XLR’s are much needed to improve Qantas’ comfort and service. Perth to Sydney is definitely one of my dream routes because you get to fly over my home city Adelaide so hopefully I can fly on this same route sometime soon. Thanks again for your support!
Very well presented.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Well done young man you did a good job ,i envy you having a Dad who is a Qantas pilot, are you going to follow in his footsteps and become a pilot,i will subscribe and wait for your next trip v/log Kym Adelaide
Thank you very much, I really appreciate the sub and support. That’s definitely the plan, it’s my absolute dream to become a pilot just like my Dad. I’m currently hoping to fly for Trans Maldivian Airways on the Twin Otter seaplane in the Maldives. Some new trip reports should be coming out in the next few weeks so make sure to look out for those if you’re interested. Thanks again for watching!
Well done! And nicely spoken!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Man, all retired now
@@Scotty460RL Yeah, it’s really unfortunate. Was such a nice aeroplane, VH-YQW is still doing small hops around Eastern Australia after flying in WA for a while so looks like one was unretired.

When/where and how many times did they weigh your carry on?
@@justkillen07 They weighed my carry on at the Jetstar check in just once to see if it needed to be put in the baggage hold or if I could carry it on. I’m pretty sure the weight limit for Economy passengers carry on items was about 7kg. Thanks for watching!
Wait an international flight, no inflight meal, you also have to pay for there entertainment. OMG what miserly😅. Like a domestic 40 minutes flight with Rwanda Air you get free meals. Well cooked and tasty. Sorry you guys need to travel and see
Yeah, it’s a bit ridiculous but that’s Jetstar for you. To Australians it’s crazy to hear on a 40min flight you can get a proper meal and we can’t on a 10hr flight to Hawaii. Hopefully that changes in the near future. Thanks for watching!
@Levi.Collier What a polite young man. You won a new subscriber. Hopefully your pilot dreams come to fruition. And this is me wishing that you will fly hopefully a regional West African Airliner so we treat you to our beautiful hospitality. Thanks
@@alliswell1605 Thank you so much for the sub, it means a lot. I really appreciate your support to my channel. I didn’t even know you could land a 747 at Adelaide airport
@@OliverGielen Yeah, you wouldn’t think so but Adelaide can handle really any aircraft. We’ve had the AN124, A380 and B747 multiple times and they can all land as well as taxi with no problems.
When was this as I’m watching a atlas 747 takeoff from Adelaide now

Wonderful video of Jetstar 787 take off out of Honolulu
Thanks, totally agree. Was incredible to witness in person!
Great review mate I’ve just subscribed
@@aviation405 Hey, thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed the report, the sub is much appreciated!
I just couldn't see myself ever supporting them again, after the scammy methods of putting flights on to not Actually fly them, to then cancel, and only give out a few 100 dollars to customers. Former CEO was scum, and the whole admin behind it. But besides that, great review :) One positive though, Qantas back in 2008 flew me down to Sydney, and that was actually a nice flight. 747. Good luck on saving up for overseas airlines :)
Hey mate, thank you so much. Much appreciated! Yeah, totally agree, the previous CEO wasn’t great and didn’t do good things for the company. I’m hoping the new CEO fixes the company but who knows. That’s so cool you flew a 747 for ADL - SYD, wish I could have done that. Thanks again for support!
@@Levi.Collier It was actually London to Sydney or Melbourne infact. via Hongkong I think it was.
Oh, sorry. I have just reread your previous comment and now I see what I did, I thought you were saying you flew from Adelaide. It all makes sense now, my mistake. It still must have been pretty cool to experience the Queens of The Skies. Hopefully I can fly the -400 eventually, but it will probably be the -8 variant because the -400 is quite a rare sight these days.
@@Levi.Collier Ye you would have to know someone in Cargo i guess, get a jumpseat like that, or get your fam to travel to Europe. I might hop on the 747 with LH again soon. will show some reports in a new channel myself soon :)
@@madaboutsnooker147 Yeah, definitely. My family and I are heading up to Singapore next year so we will most likely be heading to Europe in 2026.
