Just curious. When you say you’re getting 12v to the fan wires and that means the sensor is bad, do you mean that has to be the issue if the fan never turns on? I’ve only had my raptor a little while, and I ride in mostly cool temps, but I don’t remember the fan working at all. I tested the fan and it works, but it’s never seemed too hot to where it would need to turn on.

@@graffo7744 if you bypass the sensor the fan should turn on if I remember correctly. But raptors are known for the fans turning on way too late and the motor is already too hot

First off I appreciate the video. My issue is, is that the fan is engaging but sounds god awful. Almost like a can on the back of a bicycle tire. You think the fan went bad? Is that a thing? I know I'm gonna have to pull everything off but I just did new coolant before storing. Don't feel like draining it but is what it is.

    • @garvensgarage8903

@@garvensgarage8903 I am not actually sure you know how to read oil viscosity. The first number is start up viscosity. Getting oil on top of the engine is critical from the oil pump during start up.10W30 is thicker than 5W30 at start up and will increase wear.
