There that day Cardiff tried they hardest to defend the grandstand I was in there there was no fucking chance two many Chelsea in there what a day
I seen all the greats play there . I just stool and Stared.. John & Mel Charles, Ivor All church, Peter King ,Don Murry ,Derek Tapscott. Barry Jones . And of course Brian Clark , and Tosh. And many many more.
That geezer is correct Bob Harris is a belter.
You had to go and there was always a queue for the crapper on the way. I think the whole ground was terracingand they seemed to be everywhere slapping their heads. Insane but brilliantly unique.
Nice to see to this day cardiff can't fill their stadium on derby day 😂
RIP all fine men
Micky thomas never gives up
Someone show this to Bulut
What kit was that?clearly Vincent Tan has a longer memory than me
Great to be able to dial these old games up.I was there that day.City had a powefull side around then and would surely have made Div1 had they not gone and sold Toshack.Happy days R.I.P dad.
BLUEBIRDS
At 2:00 how chant is ? Please n 'thanks
Here we go here we go here we go
@@alfiesolomons434thanks 🙏👍
Ron Atkinson managed by Ron Saunders!
Ninnia. Parck, i miss that ground, ive never stepped foot to support my team in that ground, not for me, never will go there ever again, shit stadium no atmosphere, not for the working class, its for the business class, sponsors corpritive people,,rip ninnian park, god bless the old lady,,,😢
Like watching Cardiff today unable to pass forward loosing the ball all over the pitch unable to shoot at goal things don't change
What a game
Best football I’ve witnessed by a Bluebird team that season.Halcyon decade.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone as unmarked in the box from a corner as Scimeca was for the first.
Have a nice day. Thank you so much for the nice video. Enjoyed and liked of course. Bravo! Greetings from country Azerbaijan
Where is this from?
Tony Currie, my boyhood hero. I remember this goal.
Dave Jones was good for us 🙌🏻
Best time to be a city fan. We had a team we could be proud of.
Great times for football. Love watching old games. That game would never be played today on that pitch because the prima donna's would get their pink boots dirty and would never be able to control the ball. Proud Welshman but love all the classic matches with brilliant characters.
I used to love that team, before it was turned into a commodity playing in a soulless corner of a retail park! The atmosphere in Ninian was amazing,so intimidating for away teams.
What a day out. I was in terraces on right side end that day. We took a good mob down there too. We were put in there
I went to this Chelsea were everywhere, great days💙🏴👍💫🥇🍻
Remember joining Cardiff in the seat just before kick off 😊
28 seconds in, right side of screen, that's totally me hahaha, memories
The football in those days was neanderthal!! But we just couldn't see it, this is an international match for God's sake, be about championship standard now, if that!!
We miss the old lady.things ain't the same since we moved over the Rd.
FIFA didn't recognise these Home Internationals as full-graded matches but the England,Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland did.
My favourite Band too...Should have been World famous.Cant wait to see new Sassa Band 2022.😊
Pourquoi une équipe galloise dans le championnat anglais ? En 1970, Cardiff a battu nantes en coupe des coupes et, ils n'étaient pas dans le championnat anglais (city était le représentant anglais).
Thank you for sharing this. The sacrifices made by mine workers should never be forgotten.
Brilliant, we enjoyed this one.
Phil Dwyer wasn't a player to be taken advantage of, a real enforcer, he gave everything and left nothing on the pitch, a miracle how with such level of intensity he racked up nearly 600 appearances. RIP Phil.
He just met Phil ( Joe) Dwyer for the first time bet he never forgot that R.I.P. Phil Dwyer Bluebird Legend never ever be forgotten
Phil " Joe " Dwyer, R.I. P. Thanks for the memories, and a very special shirt brother.
Bluebird Legend R.I.P. Joe
Phil Dwyer R.I.P. Ccfc and Ninian Park Legend, he gave everything he had for the club.
Cult hero, Phil "Joe " Dwyer R.I.P. No more dedicated and committed, God Bless brother.
R.I.P. Phil " Joe " Dwyer.
Phil Dwyer R.I.P, thanks for all the memories big man, your commitment to Cardiff City is unsurpassed. Goodnight and God Bless brother.
Rip a true hero
Played cricket against Senghenydd in the 1970’s and I asked a Senghenydd player where the mining disaster occurred and his reply was “ We are standing on it”
The cricket pitch is at the lower end of Senghenydd, on the border with Abertridwr, nearer the Windsor colliery. Senghenydd's Universal colliery was at the top end of the village, in the 1970's it was a sawmill.
No wonder English football was10 years behind the continent at that time, how could anyone play football on those pitches!! I've seen better ploughed fields!!!
@@Steaks652 The rest of British football did!!By the time this was played George Best did most of his playing in nite clubs
@@Steaks652 that's the trouble most British players thrived on pitches like that, send them to an international tournement and they soon found out that the rest of the world was playing a different game to them, large parts of Europe had harsher winters than we did and sure they affected the pitches, but not nearly to the extent that they did in the UK, there was just no excuse that by the end of January most of the pitches where unplayable, if football was you aim
I watched the amazing Leeds team with their underground heated pitch,"😂😂 Don Revie said we have two games one for home and one for away, and who was Revie an advocate of? Rheinus Michaels, The great Dutch creator of total football, all that passing sideways and possession of the ball, if you ever watch England play Holland in the 70s you'll know what I mean, i loved 70s football it summed us up as a society, Honest, Basic and full of enthusiasm!!!

Awesome place I’m so lucky my parents took me there when I was a kid we rarely missed a game ! The Leeds game was the best atmosphere in a sporting event I’ve ever been at . Incredible
