Sorry but that's some lame ass stuff, singing out of tune with an unpleasant tone over a Bach piece. I mean I do that all the time at home when no one has to hear me butcher the piece, but here is doing that in front of people who probably paid over a 100 bucks to hear him..Oy Vey...!!
Leading a full orchestra by singing a part for solo violin is one of the most insane thing I have ever heard of, it's not even conceivable to do this, it's beyond ... it's Collier
This is normal for a musician at home. Somewhat less spectacular than "scat" jazz singing. Yes, I can play guitar along with Pachelbel's Canon, but we all know it is too overdone to consider public performance. Do we need Jacob to do "Stairway To Heaven"? But I support his "experiments" that expand our musical horizons, just good fun. I love Little Blue in all its versions.
This is normal for a musician at home? Normal? This man, has the best grade in operatic singing in the history of the Royal Conservatory of London. This man, was a professional soprano by age 10. This man is one of the greatest singer on the planet. Normal? ... no. There is nothing normal about hitting notes in the 6th octave of a piano with ease as a tenor. If you think that this is less impressive than scat, your knowledge of singing is something you should revise - no offense. Leading a full orchestra by singing a part for solo violin is one of the most insane thing I have ever heard of, it's not even conceivable to do this, it's beyond ...... whatever. You won't get it I'm afraid.
@@jas_batailleJacob's best fans are VERY musical, being led by Jacob, conducting the crowd, is very rare and unusual, no other singer would try it. I can put on Canon in D and play along on guitar, that's what a "musical person" can do at home. I was blown away by Jacob's Moon River as my first exposure, and yes, the guy is on a level with J.S. Bach, and his adventures with "tones" is way beyond the ordinary. Bach would "have fun" with Jacob going places only they would know, but here we are, treated to a genius hard at work, having fun.
This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Jacob constantly expanding the boundaries of what music is and can be. Sometimes it doesn't quite work, but the exploration and performance is amazing.
Minunat ❤!
❤🙏🏻🪄🦋
I can only imagine what he would do with Mozart’s Lacrimosa.

i love jacob collier, but etiquette is etiquette. he's wearing pajamas and no shoes.
He just had fun trashing Bach.its actually pretty easy to sing this (except for the range) as a lot of this is sequential phrasing.
This is exhibitionism , not music
impressive feat, horrifying results 😬
k was mostly traumatised tiny awesome analgesic
I love this peice with my whole heart, well done ❤
How terrible…
In my opinion, he`s a reincarnation of Mozart, in any terms of music an creativity. He`s a genius.
He should take up scatting but instead of basing it on jazz, base it on classical.

That guy just sitting there 's like: You murdered Bach.
That's his mother on the violin btw.
Do you have Summer Rain from that concert? I can’t find any performances of that song with these singers!
Great video. I'm your fan.
ahhhh shades of the great Bobby Mc Ferrin ❤
Would be nice to let them make music together!
Kudos to his predecessor of this kind of singing, Bobby McFerrin. Collier should acknowledge this
He has spoken about his admiration for him before
Usually when he asked about his musical influences he speaks of Bobby McFarrin
He's well aware and grateful for the influence of Bobby McFerrin
Do you genuinely believe Jacob fcking Collier wouldn't acknowledge Bobby McFerrin. Ma dude. He probably is chilling with the guy...
Agreed
