Drumprovisation (Aug 26/24)
A "drumprovisation" is an entirely improvised composition on the drums. A drumprovisation is borne of the raw materials and emotions within.
I plan on making more of these as inspiration strikes.

Back in the Groove Again (as easy as ABC)

As I listen back I cannot help but hear Jackson 5's ABC, because of how I accent with the cymbal hits. I have missed playing and it feels good to get back in the groove. #drums #drumming #drummer #improvisation #composition #solo

Announcer: "Today, it's hammer time in the Morton mobile. Coming out swinging and bringing the pain is Master Sean himself." Crowd cheers. "A master of what you ask? A master of murdering perfectly good songs with his multiple personalities." Ash, who happened to be present in the crowd, chimed in, "Gotta catch 'em all!" Announcer continues: "Soooo, today's torturous treat goes out to Petey: Ha...

Walk Through The Fire - Peter Gabriel (a drum cover)
Переглядів 1,3 тис.10 років тому
Day 11 of Drumming Advent Recorded September 8, 2014 I have wanted to record drums to this song ever since I first heard it years ago on my mom's vinyl of the Against All Odds soundtrack. Peter Gabriel kept this track relatively sparse in the drumming department, especially when one considers his percussive behemoths like In Your Eyes. And so I wanted to give this one the Stamp of Sean Morton. ...

Day 10 of Drumming Advent Recorded September 10, 2014 This one may be a bit harder to get into for some or many. It borders on drum solo, but is meant to be viewed rather as a complicated groove. Here are some variations on the theme, as it were.

Day 9 of Advent Drumming Recorded September 15, 2014 This title is really quite apt, because today I have finally completed my B.A. in Caregiving and Counseling. It took me a while, and drums did interrupt its progress, but I can now assure you I am not half-baked!

@@DrummaSean bro you slayed this beat, im a sucker for tom & hi-hat groves, it's just so fucking sexy, more drummers need to post groves like these. It's how you know your linear patterns are progressing & your confidence to actually use the kit haha.

It saddens me... I saw Unsung today and it was of course about the Sylvers. Well, I was amazed by the song Olympia and to have as much exposure as they had during that time is awesome. what saddens me is what happened to Olympia. her innocence totally taken. And the obvious love Shirley & Leon had for each other end with Shirley's struggle. It's breaking, but I absolutely love the song Olympia and to see their performance of it

Groucho was about two light-years ahead of most hosts of the era in presenting African-Americans in the best possible light ,((I could say the same for Ed Sullivan and Ted Mack.) I don't think he saw color, as long as they were funny and/or entertaining.

That sound like a probable explanation, but I'm not privy to what happened exactly. From what I've heard about him, he was an awesome guy. Highly intelligent, but as I know all too well, alcoholism can change a person entirely. All the siblings on my dad's side, with the exception of aunt Shirley, were alcoholics, so she wasn't a stranger to that. She lived a pretty good life, otherwise. She'd come visit us in TX from time to time during her later years. She was an amazing woman and we missed her. She was the very last of her siblings after my dad passed in 08.
