Debbie is truly a remarkable woman.

This absolutely missed the mark and it's laughable that it won awards. It almost felt like watching the same 5 minutes of dialogue on repeat for an hour. The most used phrase is "we/you/I need to keep fighting" - fighting for what? what is the end goal? what are they actually doing apart from walking through the streets or whatever else they do/intended to do which is not made clear at all at any point in this film. There's virtually no historical context provided regarding the Native Indians or their culture, and I felt like I gained absolutely nothing by watching this. The father constantly telling his kid that he's not doing enough for the cause was heartbreaking as not once did he have any constructive advice for him apart from shaming him by saying how hard he and his ancestor fought, which was in completely different circumstances. Trying to glorify his own past violent encounters is what will lead that kid to ending up in jail and erasing any chance that boy has of making a positive impact. The young man is full of good intention and passion, but is completely lost in regards to his actual intentions which is not helped by the broken record father who doesn't seem to have any clue either. In summary - poorly executed documentary portraying a depressingly poorly run movement.
