    It’s interesting that this varietal isn’t that common in the UK. In the US it is the most common varietal and is used most commonly to make iced tea. I live in the US and sort of rediscovered it as a hot, loose leaf, afternoon tea. In that role it is very good

    Just tried the Russian caravan (not your shop sorry) and its the same as my neighbours wood burner. Real burnt wood taste and gets in your nose. Not for me but it's fun to try. I do like the black teas (builders) and more flowery teas like English breakfast, although I'm fussy on that one as my last punt off ebay is not good. Its more a sour black tea! Back to original supplier for that one. I also drink rooibos and calimile. Green tea if mood takes me. I'll watch some more for ideas on what to use try next. :) Bit late to the party. I'll take a look at your shop and give it ago. I can do a drink along. Ha

      Hi Wayne, Great to read of your thoughts and experience. Russian Caravan should have a smooth, gently smoked profile... Definitely not harsh or deeply smoked. The one you've described doesn't sound like I'd expect so it may be worth trying a different supplier? You may find our Keemun, and Golden Monkey black teas more to your taste? Our first flush Golden Nepal black tea has a light floral profile and is also very popular. If you need other suggestions just let me know. Best regards Paul

      There are many different examples of Orange Pekoe tea. This lighter style large leaf black Ceylon tea is delicious with or without milk. I prefer it without 😉☕

      Hey, I would recommend it without milk and with a half teaspoon of sugar. It is a wonderful light afternoon tea. It also takes lemon quite well. In the US, this is the tea most often used to make iced tea

    Great video! I was confused about the whole boiling water great to hear you clarify that is for green tea. I have started to drink black tea instead of adding milk and the taste for me is way better. I love Russian Caravan tea bags but have just bought some loose leaf tea, mostly Chinese ones including Lapsang, and hope to enjoy trying those! Cheers mate!

    Something real relaxing about watching another man drink tea and have a chat. I think I missed the part where you describe the taste, which is why I came here but honestly I don't care because the overall video left me feeling very weirdly relaxed and wanting more. Good health to you too, mate. Thank you for this wonderful video.

    Oolong is also credited with being the most fragrant of all teas, still redolent with the freshness of a green leaf, but having undergone enough fermentation to carry deeper notes than green can muster.

    Does this tea contain caffeine?

    • @teatraderswales
      @teatraderswales 4 роки тому

      Hi Shanise, Yes, it does have caffeine. Any drink made with tea (Camellia sinensis or Camellia Assamica) will contain caffeine. If you want to buy tea without caffeine look for one that clearly says Decaffeinated on the packet. These are made with the same tea leaves, but they are processed in the factory to remove the caffeine. Hope this helps 🌱☕
