I've been using the Pivotell pill popper for a few years and wouldn't be without it. Very occasionally, you can find a stubborn pill that doesn't release on the first attempt (Metformin, I'm looking at you!) but on the whole it's extremely effective. The only thing that it doesn't cope well with is capsules: initially, I tried to pop some capsules, and the popper crushed the capsule rather than popping it out-the membrane was too tough! So, for the likes of Duloxetine, I reverted to using a pencil to puncture the membrane first. I'm really glad I didn't get one of the first type when I was looking. It was an option, but just from the photos, I decided that it looked too flimsy.
