    I have donkeys that go to events with kids and the general public. I do NOT want them to bite at people and I feel like this might encourage that behavior. Looking for options...

    Yeah. I've discovered another equine clicker trainer on UA-cam. Subscribed. First time viewer. Thanks! Love it! - I'm not a purist clicker trainer, but will enjoy seeing your content. I've never had a donkey.

    He might not understand the difference from know and no. I see this all the time. They confuse the animal. Never say “know”!

    Hi, I recently rescued a 25 year old donkey, I think he is a Sicilian Mini? I've been using your training tips to great success. BUT! something changed and I don't know how to correct the problem, albeit me or Donk. It has become dangerous and I'm worried sick. Is there a way to pay for a consultation phone call? I'm very concerned. Thank you. Donk has his own playlist on this, the ChicksForSteve, channel. His sign language video is his best, I think. TY Tiffany

    Thank you so much for the easy to understand training information. I’m new to donkeys and have two young BLM donks that have had some training before I got them but I’m wanting to bring them along in further training. I’m thankful to have found you and appreciate what you do. I look forward to watching and learning more.

    Hello, how would you go about having a large male donkey put its front hoofs on a stand tall enough for ,let’s say, a medium sized woman to fit under. I run a small tent show in Mexico and cannot get my donkey to stay put.. any help would be very appreciated!

      You might try breaking the behavior down into smaller sections. First have him step onto a1 wooden pallet. Once he's ok with that, add another pallet onto the 1st one, so he has to step higher. Every time he is comfortable with a level, add another pallet, until you are at the desired height.

    Came across your video and I love this approach. We inherited a donkey with the ranch we bought and he had never been trained before. Can be haltered easily but wouldn't lead. I tried your method and he is not afraid of the rope anymore. Such a big progress. Thank you!!

    So do you use the clicker and give a treat when he does it right?

    • @equineconfidenceplus5052
      @equineconfidenceplus5052 2 роки тому

      You don't necessity have to use a clicker to mark the correct behavior, you can also use word like "yes" or "Good" to let them know the exact moment he did it correct.

    • @equineconfidenceplus5052
      @equineconfidenceplus5052 2 роки тому

      and yes treats as soon as you mark the behavior
