I think that its unfortunate that muslims are imitating the west. Ibn Khaldun: "The conquered always imitate the conquerors"; and this is why so many muslims imitate western culture. When the Ottomans were defeated what did Ataturk do? Westernise! He prohibited the fez and the hijab; he forced people to adopt western forms of dress; he changed the adthan from arabic to turkish; he secularised the country; etc. We need to re-create an Islamic culture that doesn't need the western model!
