Does this printer have a scanner?
I don’t believe so.
In FilmMaker, our 13x19 queue for our ix6820 is only 12.68 wide. We previously used an Epson P400 and the 13x19 was a true 13x19 in FilmMaker. Do you know how to get the media size in FilmMaker to be a true 13x19 for the Canon?
Hi. Are you 100% sure on putting the black ink in all ink reservoirs? I'm setting mine up now for cad printing and don't require color.
With the FilmMaker rip it allows me to draw from all 4. I use all black.
@@EmulsionGuru I used 1 black and flush from Jantex in the other 3. I'm using Wasatch SoftRIP... Still trying to get it working.
@@KingKoopa1what black are you using? I have not used Wasatch with it but can tell you FilmMaker rip with our AccuInk work well together.
@@EmulsionGuru It's a film positive black from Jantex. Right now it's giving us trouble with finding the correct drivers. We have to setup the printer manually. The printer will run, but will not actually print any ink. Last night I tested it and it just started rolling my entire film roll out. Now I gotta figure out how to get it to retract the roll so I don't lose so much film.🙄
@@KingKoopa1don’t know much about that black. I know filmmaker has the drivers for it. I’d recommend downloading their free trial and try running it with FilmMaker DTP+. Definitely worth a try.
Hello.. What kind of product could you recommend to me to be able to print on canvas that can receive pigmented inks? I'm a cotton canvas manufacturer
Hello to convert my Epson surecolor t 3170 would I have to reprogram the board to do DTF
can i use pigment color on this? the site says pigment black and dye color, but i want all pigment color.
i have two version of ix6800, latinamerica 6810, and north america 6820... i cant find for granel ink for the first printer.
Out of curiosity have you printed out a sample onto inkjet photo paper?, if so do you get a various greyscale or does the printer software not interpret the image file the same, eg., dot screen v constant ink droplet output. Cheeers Bob
I only use it for film.
My printer won’t see the darkstar roll film. Any thoughts? Just says there is a paper jam after trying to load it
I would recommend trying Chromaline’s AccuJet or AccuBlack film. I have never had an issue with either of them.
What's the difference between this and T3130x? Is this successor to 3130x?
This is the successor to the T3270.
what the india price sir
Please reach out to Andy in our international department. ahromatka@ikonics.com
Hey man I've got a question Whats the standard emulsion thickness for a screen
10%~20% of the overall stencil thickness should be your EOM.
Nice demo :) Would you use the same coating for waterbased printing? As in 1/1 for this mesh
It really comes down to the specific emulsion you’re using. The solid % and viscosity play in to that as well, but in many cases (not all) 1&1 will work.
Sorry for the dumb question but I set up everything the same way you did and all it does is turn my work to halftones once i send it over to the rip software. What am I doing wrong or is it a setting?
Do you mean it’s creating halftones where it should be solid? If so, that goes back to how the artwork is created. Spot colors need to be designated as spot colors not built as CMYK or it’ll treat the art like 4cp.
@@EmulsionGuru Yes I guess im confused because I have had this printer for a while and printed the same design many times and something in the software messed up so I reinstalled it and now its doing it to all my files that worked perfect once before so I didn't know if it was a setting or something within the software
@@avodroccustomprinting8090 I would recommend creating a new queue to see if that solves it. Most likely a setting got changed.
Hello, is it possible to change the roll paper size with this software? I’m having issues where my Epson T3170x reads the roll size incorrectly when I insert really thin paper.
Hi can you please let me know what you selected for the paper in the epson control panel. Are you using Enhanced Matte, Premium gloss, or something else? thanks
I apologize for the delayed response. Just seeing this now. If you are using rip software it doesn’t matter what paper setting you use but I typically use standard glossy. Rip will override that setting.

Sounds like you’re talking about a different printer. This one is the T3170x.
Can you tell me if the epson T3170 (no “x” at the end) can be converted into a sublimation printer using the sublimation ink?
No Brasil se usa a T3170 para sublimação. Tem o processo para desbloquear ela e ela rodar tinta para sublimação.
Can I print B1 size sheet ?
can you print borderless print on this printer?
Oh my God! you help me a lot, really look so easy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Saludos from Mexico!!

How do you figure? Keep in mind you can use smaller rolls of film if it suits your needs better. We also have 17”, 14”, and 13” wide rolls.

Hello, where did you acquire the Accu Ink for this printer? Thank you.

Where can i buy capillary film/ textile film just to use for reusable transfers without using the screen for chalk paint and ink just for crafts, im in a group that sells reusable stencils made using the ikon art kit , but ikon art is too expensive to buy the film from, im using an ink jet printer film first to use for the textile film using the uv light method, any tips , suggestions on where I can buy it at an affordable price so I can make the reusable transfers and make a little profit, if I’m confusing you, could you look up ikon art kit , that will show you what I need , I absolutely cannot find any textile /capillary film to buy at an affordable price that will work with the inkjet printer film for the stencils , also I’m learning the difference in the mesh size so I’m not sure what I’m looking at, chalk couture and magnolia design co. and makers studios sell these transfer they are not cheap , so I want to learn how to make these myself and then I can personalize them myself also after I master this I want to learn how to burn to a screen as my kit came with a few . Thank you
question here, after the screen finished their work, does the indirect film removable so screen can be reclaimed ?
Yes, it can be removed using any standard reclaimer like our ChromaStrip iSC.
@@EmulsionGuru I’m actually facing an issue couldn’t get an indirect emulsion film reclaimed, tried Sodium periodate but didn’t work at all, don’t know why. Is there any possibility to make indirect emulsion film unable to remove in any way ? thanks
Hello, can this printer print on photo paper of 240gms? Thank you.
This machine can print negative film too?
Yes, that’s just in the artwork. Might need to adjust ink levels down a hair when laying down that much ink but should be good.
Ok Thanks! If I need to print film for phototopolymer plates ? It should be good also?
Hi, can use these printer films for offset PS plates?
I haven’t tested that but I’d say yes.
Thanks, you are best
Can I buy the bundle without the rip ?
Unfortunately no, for this smaller printer it’s only sold in the full package.
Where can I purchase the all black ink cartridge
shop.chromaline.com/accuink/
are those refillable?? @@EmulsionGuru
Do you have videos of how you stay high and can you post it?
i just bought one and it didn't come with any of this stuff except the ink and a disk
You bought the Chromaline package or just a Canon ix6820 printer?
Me too
How to setup wireless
I always recommend setting up via USB.
Call canon representative they are very good to help install of your not getting it
I know you buy a pump sprayer at a lot of places but I would buy one off a link if you have it
Here’s a link to one I’ve used on Amazon. CoreGear Classic USA Misters 1.5 Liter Personal Water Mister Pump Spray Bottle a.co/d/gDZUVC1
So good. Thanks. Every screen printer should watch this.
Great video bro I want ask you question What the best ink and best sensitive to print on polypropylene or pet sheets
Typically you'd want to use a solvent or UV ink for that.
Where to but the rip?
Everything comes as part of the full package; however, if you just need the rip alone we can help you out too. Email me at kkauth@chromaline.com or visit our website here shop.chromaline.com/filmmaker-v10-rip-software/
Do you mix your emulsion each time you open it to coat moe screens? I mixed my with a metal stir stick I found in our screen printing room, that the other teacher already had emulsion on. I'm struggling getting my emulsion to harden at all, it all easily washs off. Do you think I may have contaminated it with by using a metal stir stick? I'm using ulano proclaim dual cure emulsion. Thanks!
I do a light stir through to be sure nothing has settled out before coating, but be sure not to mix to vigorously or you’ll be adding air bubbles into the emulsion which will create pinholes. I’m assuming the metal stir stick is stainless steel or aluminum so it wouldn’t contaminate the emulsion. If all of the emulsion is completely washing off and not exposing most likely it’s bad/old emulsion or it’s under exposed. Where are you located? I can give you recommendations of local suppliers that can help you out with Chromaline emulsion.
I have a very similar table, however the vacuum is NOT sucking down. Do I need that fixed or can I compress with weight? I put a board across frame and 25 lb. Block of clay on board. Also do you need to was out in yellow safe room? I'm struggling bad with this.
Using weights is better than nothing but definitely not as good as using a vacuum to get the best contact between the film and emulsion. Usually with weights you don’t get as good or as even of contact. Yes you should be washing out in a yellow safe light environment. The emulsion is still susceptible to UV light before/during washout.
Hello @EmulsionGuru, for the Emulsion PC 701, can you tell me the process to do High Density screen with this Emulsion. Thank you
It's best/easiest to make high density screens using high density film, like Super Phat Film (discussed in the video, also see the video Quick Tips from the Screen Room: Phat Film Application). If you want to only use liquid direct emulsion you can coat then dry then coat again on the substrate side of the screen. Repeat this process until you reach the desire thickness.

Hi, How can we find out the 120 units is ferfect .please say how to confirm the correct exposure time
How can we buy this film ? thank you
How do I remove this from screens I coated two screens and I can’t reclaim them with the remover
How did you get your film to hold tight against the screen and not fall. i know you said that exposure unit doesn't have a glass. Please let me know
In this video I did not use film. It was imaged with a Douthitt wax direct to screen unit.
How much temperature and drying time and how much 1k halogen exposing time please answer me.
In a drying cabinet at 100F you can expect the film to be dry enough to use in about an hour. Too many variables to give you an exposure time. Exposure times vary from unit to unit so doing an exposure test, like a step test, is the best way to determine your times.
EmulsionGuru thanks 😊
