This is how technology and farming work together
I'm not sure if this will work on the rogator, but with fendt tractors if you put the info on 2 quarters of the screen it'll automatically change to become a half screen display. Hope that helps
Great video, thank you Dustin!
Burning the flax.
I am running a 937 with R1 R2 dry box on for just over a year now.Done some top dressing last summer with the plastic covers on the inside of the wheels. They filled up with mud so bad one tore off.I see you have small stainless covers. Is that an option or a new update.I used the vision row finder system as much as possible.Works great. We have corn so have to follow rows when top dressing.
We had a fendt on demo 40 years ago, well we have had many many fendts since. Had other brands on demo, nothing comes close.
Fendt got all the bells and whistles but have an outdated orange digital screen . 🤦
Dustin conner thinks theresomething wrong with you
Congratulations on your bull moose. You cant beat moose meat.
I could never own a tractor this nice, I'd be driving to bar at the end of the day.
We have an MT938 on the farm that I work on near Oxford in the uk. She is an absolute work horse, but nothing compares to jumping out of it and into our 1048 Vario. So much smoother and quieter just doesn’t pull the discs so well.
Ugly
At least I can buy one in farming simulator 😂😂
Not sure what happened but here in se. Sk seems like we have more moose than whitetail deer now.
Congratulations
For those stumps use a bergen rock digger with a thumb. Get the thumb tight on the stump and use the main hydraulic and move ahead slowly and the stump pops right out
It’s been a long time since I tasted moose meat
Nice Moose, we hunted Moose for years at Mallard Lake north of the Meadow Lake prov park. We used to tie them to my 14 ft aluminum boat and float them across the lake. Then we would put a tandem quad trailer upside down on them, strap the moose in then flip it over and drive away. Two SERM officers were there one time we did that and after the quad drove away with the Moose one of them looked at the other and said “ See I told you they could do that ! “😮
How did you flip the trailer?!
@ There was always 4 of us. We each had a quad with a winch and we had lots of trees, block and tackles and I had a three ton come a long. We were ready for almost anything. It isn’t that hard to do. Dig a hole for the bottom tire to drop into and pull it over sideways.
Congratulations on the moose We use kerosene, diesel and vegetable oil then put a mound of charcoal on top of stumps. Works pretty good
Congrats on the moose! Cheers from onterrible
What is your general location of your farm? Looks like good land with a scenic view. Asking from NE South Dakota. I enjoy your videos.
Need Edmonton I believe
It looks like near Borden SK. Between Saskatoon and North Battleford SK.
Are you going to use the SctX subscription or RTK of your Tractor?
You should have a dig and look at how level under the ground is where the discs are running. I know some like the norwood/deere machines are famous for leaving a hill/valley finish and the k lines/case unit do a way better job for smooth tillage bed
Just curious... What were the downsides/annoyances of your Bourgeault setup?
@MFKR696 bourgaults are busy.... especially if you have mrbs lots of hyd hoses and seed/fert hoses its just messy compared to seed hawk
It will piss you off when the seed hawk frame starts cracking and the factory won't do anything about it
Ya it would but frames haven’t cracked in years
@DavesNotHome2704 that's hilarious when guys smack talk seedhawk because we bought a 2017 3320 bourgault 3 years ago and that thing had multiple MULTIPLE cracks our neighbors have about a 16-17 hawk they bought new not one crack....
Massive ! They are a pain to move around on Farming Simulator..I'd like to pull one in real life. MUCH smaller equipment when I worked on farms..
Seedhawk is better than seed master
I know guys talk about one drill seeding better than the other we have a 3320 our neighbors have a hawk and there really isn't a difference atleast with our land i really think it just comes down to preference. Id love to run a brand new hawk tool bar with a bourgault tank i like the simplicity of the bg tanks but thats just me. I know id never get mid row banders ever again if i got a other bourgault drill.
I also like the BG tank and easy clean out. MRB are ok if adjusted right and maintained. To me it seems like canola emergence on canola is quicker and more uniform. It may even out in the end anyways 🤷🏻♂️
I know what u mean, we run a morris quantum with a bourgault tank!!!
@@dustinbezugly be interesting to find out cant wait to see some vids in the spring of that thing going
I can remember when my cousin down by Weyburn bought his first Prasco air seeder. I asked one of my friends if he ever considered buying one. He told me they were not suited for his soil type and won’t catch on. Within five years he was dragging around a John Deere air seeder himself. Now they are bigger than your house.
They are huge now that’s for sure
You will see a big difference in canola emergence then the BG IMO
That’s the plan! Heard guys seeding lighter than the recommended rate and still getting their target plant population
Yes I’ve done that. Your crop can get pretty thick looking with a Hawk.
I hate adjusting depth. It's painful
I’m hoping to keep everything at 3/4” we’ll see
@dustinbezugly That's what we did. 5/8th. Our dirt is very heavy. Almost too heavy for a seed hawk or qda
We sold our seed hawk and bought a bourgault. Lol
QDA Bourgault?
@dustinbezugly Yeah. Don't get me wrong but seed hawks are very good canola drills. We put urea and phos down in fall. We don't one pass. But nothing emerges better than a seed hawk.
Don’t forget to take off the battery for the air cart 😊 for the winter and store it in the shop There is manual release off the latter
Done
Don’t forget to take off the battery for the air cart 😊 for the winter and store it in the shop
Was the Bourgault in need off replacing and the Seed Hawk a better price or better technology. Your Bourgault looks to be better shape than Mike Mitchells
We were looking to upgrade. Better price, tech, emerg. BG still in decent shape. 30,000a on it
What dealer has the bg? Or are you selling privately?
Redhead Saskatoon
Get yourself a California Duster to dust your combine windows. If you use it when you shut down every night your windows will stay clean even when there is dew. Around 30 bucks at Canadian tire.
I’ll add it to my Christmas list
Väderstad is a well know family owned Swedish manufacturer of high quality farm equipment, so should not disappoint. ua-cam.com/video/z_sIpACMwIw/v-deo.html
So with the 4 tanks does all that product have to get to that central manifold with the electric meters or does each tank have that row of motors? Is there a conveyor bringing it to the central electric motor bank? I know nothing about drills.
Each tank has a row of motors metering product into the airstream
@dustinbezugly Thanks, I couldn't see in the video. That's impressive.
Great purchase! Getting away from those mid rows will be nice. Too much maintenance on them. We ran Seedhawk for 14 yrs did a fantastic job. Looking forward to seeing it in the field. You should be running your Versatile with the Hawk. Would look good … same color scheme.
Yes that would look deadly
It’s the crops on the scale that count
Awesome drill, congrats! But at the end of the day Dustin, all the yields are quite similar. It's not rocket science. You place the seed and fertilizer in the soil and you move on to the next field. Around here I can't tell which drill seeded what field come July. It's either they all look like crap or they all look good. But I do understand switching things up from time to time. And I'll agree that the SeedHawk metering and sectional control is superior. Good luck next spring!
I agree, you put seed and fert in the ground and pray for rain. I’m hoping for they all look good
Great video Dustin
Awesome looking airseeder and cart Dustin
Why....
My brother in law bought a seed hawk last winter was very happy with it.
so what was the strongest negative with the Bourgault for you to move away from them...please Dustin reply!!!
Looks beautiful! 👍
That is going to be one sweet drill to use . The only draw back with them that I can see from the road is when you go around corners the shanks all line up .
We’ve found with seedhawk/seedmasters that if you do your headlands “backwards”/clockwise your shanks don’t overlap on corners like they do when you go counter clockwise.
I see what you mean. Seedhawk has the same opener stagger throughout the drill. BG switches stagger half way through
Always make your turns clockwise then there is no overlap.
Those are built in Jackson Minnessota
I like the look of a freshly tilled field!
