C' est quoi cette carte de la Dordogne ?????
C'est une carte des régions de france 😁
massive knowing the best place to get some dome is in Florence over Istanbul
This is as interesting a takeaway as I am likely to receive on this video 😆
Great video! Amazing!
Thanks so much, Michael! We appreciate you being a loyal viewer 🤩
Amazing!
You’ve beautifully captured the charm of this hidden gem with its medieval towns, breathtaking landscapes, and delicious cuisine! Thanks for sharing such a delightful travel experience. 🛶🏰🥂
Thank you, Danilyn! I appreciate the kind words and I hope you've had a chance to visit this region as well 😁
@@atravelingperspective You're very welcome! 😊 I haven't had the chance yet, but it's definitely on my list now after hearing about it from you! 😁
@@Danilyn_Livao that's very nice to hear. Happy travels!
interesting and informative content guys - well done.
Thanks so much, it's appreciated!
My family and I just spent a month in France this past summer and the Dordogne region was one of our best experiences! The culture, history, art, and food are amazing. We made it are mission to grab food before exploring places such as Sarlat-la-Canéda, Beynec et Cazénac, Vitrac (canoe trip down the Dordogne River), La Roque-Gageac, Les Eyzies village, Chateau de Castelnaud - Castelnaud village, Gouffre de Padirac (caves/under ground river), Domme, Belvès, Saint-Cyprien (food market), Rocamadour. Watching your video makes me wish I was back in that region. Safe travels and best wishes!!
That sounds wonderful, Oscar! I'd like to spend a lot more time here soon too. It sounds like you guys really hit all of the highlights! Hopefully we will both be back there soon 😍All the best to you and your family as well!
The Dordogne is hardly France' best kept secret. It's a well-established tourist destination. Even Rick Steves knows it!
Nouvelle-Aquitaine is not a top 5 region that tourists visit in France, so the average UA-cam viewer almost certainly won't know about it 😁 I also link directly to Rick's video about this region, I'm a big fan!
@atravelingperspective yes, but it doesn't make it a " secret" . Full of middle age Brits with second homes or permanent residents.
@@francoisleyrat8659 Words, and adjectives, in particular, are subjective my friend 😁 I appreciate you checking out the video!
Chateau de Castelnaud is arguably the best of the Perigord castles, its views are magic. But then the Dordogne region is all magical, and the very gastronomic heartland of France. Duck pizza is a must try if you can find it. Just avoid going in July & August as its no longer sadly a secret and traffic jams and hoards of visitors make it a challenge, particularly for residence of the small towns. Foie gras is amazing, and the geese are one of the most humanely treated animals, they are all open ranged raised with a pond to swim. In the wild geese gorge naturally its how they store energy to migrate. On the farms they ring a bell and the birds come running to be feed, it only looks weird to city people who don't know any better and probably think their chicken McNuggets just appear by magic at McDonalds or the supermarket. A number of Dordogne farms give tours, go see for yourselves, then taste some...
What a great comment, thanks Matthew! It sounds like you've spent a lot of time in the region. I will certainly be back and will have to try duck pizza; that sounds amazing. The cultivation of foie gras is certainly an interesting process to learn more about.
You post rarely and irregular, but if you do,,always a great video!
Thanks, Michael! I really appreciate that. Hope to be posting more soon 😄

Hi what was your budget for this trip?
Hi Patrice, for the Cape Town stop, it was $1,244 roundtrip for flights from Boston and about $208/per night for our hotel at The Tree House Boutique Hotel. You can eat really well at restaurants for $10-$15/person and much cheaper than that if you want. Cape Town is pretty walkable during the day time but Uber is also pretty cheap around town and to/from the airport.
@@atravelingperspective thanks planning to go nxt year.
@@patricegunnoo6595 Awesome. It's a wonderful place; have a great trip!
What time of year did you go and what was the weather like? My trip is next month.
Hi Erica 😀, we were there in April (their fall), and the weather was pretty good. It was mostly 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit and dry. It seems like October to February is ideal, though, so you should have some great weather!
@@atravelingperspective thank you!!
@@ericafields6170 Of course, have a great trip!
I used to live in Rondebosch. This video is the best guide I've seen for people looking to visit CT!!
That's very kind of you, thank you! I'll have to check our some of your Chicago vids 😄

Stay safe everyone. I have lived in south africa, beautiful country but safety you must always consider.
I agree with others who praise the excellent and well presented commentary. This is one of the very few presenters who does not have to have himself in every shot, which is what most people do, because their video is really about them and not the destination.
Thank you so much, Breitie! That's exactly what I aim for in my videos, so I really appreciate you enjoying that aspect 😚.
Looks like a very/interesting location.
next time you come, u should go to Cape Agulhas, that is the most southern point of africa. Its a really cute and peaceful little town
We definitely will! To be honest, that was one of my only regrets from this trip is not going a bit further south.
Which month you visited Cape Town?
We were there in April 👍
Rio de Janeiro is situated between the mountains and ocean as well. Rio is prettier but Cape Town is definitely second as far as beautifully situated cities.
I can't wait to get to Rio one day!

Good video. Amazing scenery 😊
Hello again, Raymond! Thanks for checking out this video as well. Yes, Namibia had as unique of natural surroundings as we've ever seen I think. Definitely worth the extra effort to get there!
Awesome video. Hi from Australia 😊
Hello, Raymond! I lived in Australia (Melbourne and Brisbane) for 1 year so I am very fond of your country mate. Thanks for the kind comment.
Oh I really enjoyed that ☺️. We are heading over soon for our first wsop and it was cool to find a vlog from like you say a "regular" player . Gg
That's awesome, Sian! Best of luck to you when you're there! And thanks for the kind words on the vid.
Why risk tournament life on a A9 preflop? There are better spots. Like go for small pots unless you’re super strong. Wait until your % favorite is 70 or higher.
I was down to about 8 or 9 bigs and it was the best hand I'd seen in a few orbits, not much to decide in that spot. It's not possible to wait around to ensure you're a 70% favorite in that spot.
Awesome tutorial bro now I know what expect if I ever get that off my bucket list wsop never even been to Vegas yet hopefully next year.
Thank you! And I hope you do get there if you’re interested. It’s definitely a great experience.
Heyo. Local here, if you're still in town maybe we can get together one night for the 8pm deepstack. But good luck out there.
Unfortunately, I flew home the next day but I appreciate the offer man!
@@atravelingperspective of course. I just found the channel. I like the travel, we travel cross country about 8 times a year.. gets to be a bit much now, but I'd love to start getting out of the country more, I'll be checking out more of your videos and maybe one day you will be back, I can show you some of the local spots around outside the glitter and glame of the strip. Or maybe one day we will bump into each other in another place. But I wish all the best and keep traveling
@@sampsanity wow, 8 times a year, that's awesome. I'm excited to focus a bit more on seeing more of the States once we settle down a bit more. I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I head to Vegas, I appreciate the offer. You enjoy your travels in the meantime as well!

Great blog John! Really good info for someone considering their first WSOP event!! ♠️ ❤
Thanks so much, Kyle! I appreciate you checking it out.
We are from the UK first visited in 2007 and have been to many many places all around the world ever since however Cape Town is still the best place we have ever visited. Many people were shaking their heads at us back then saying we were mad to consider venturing there but to say I am glad they did not convince me to go is an understatement. The western Cape in general is outstanding with the best thing for me being the diversity of things to do which was endless
That's wonderful. Good for you for not being dissuaded from going to Cape Town. Sometimes hidden gems stay that way because people let their fears take over. South African certainly has its problems, but Cape Town and the broader Western Cape is some of the most naturally stunning land in the world. I consider myself lucky having visited there and hope to go back. I'm sure it has changed a lot since even 2007! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for that. Actually we have been on 5 occasions to SA including Kruger Park and Rorkes Drift although we are much older than yourselves. I noticed from your videos you have been to numerous places we have including Argentina so it seems we have a similar outlook towards travelling. You might want to consider Jordan which we visited last year although I would incorporate Lebanon and Israel as well which we didnt have time for due to having to family commitments however the middle east is a real experience.. We were booked for Beirut ,Tokyo and Philippines 4 years ago but it got cancelled for covid. Off to Japan in 3 months time so wish you the best on your travels and keep it going because you wont regret it.
@@jmw-qt2ih That's great. I always love hearing from folks who've been to these places. We also went to Kruger for safari and spent a bit of time in Johannesburg. I'd love to do a big Middle East trip in the next few years and Jordan is squarely on our list. We're off to France/Italy in a few weeks. I hope you have a great time in Japan, glad you're making it happen after it was cancelled a few years back. Can't go wrong there and it has gotten more afordable with their currency being devalued pretty dramatically in the last few years.
Oh beware of ghost n snakes.😂
I'll be more careful next time! 😄
War is hell n yet we’re still into war like Isreal, South China Sea, Ukraine, etc. welcome to hell.😂
Absolutely, our addition to it as humans is tragic. I hope one day we can break it...
Cape Town's hop on hop off bus is, no joke, the best in the world. It takes you half way up Table Mountain then by the 12 apostles peaks, the along the exclusive beach properties
Absolutely, it was the very last thing we did on the trip so kind of didn't think much about it beforehand, but we were really impressed!
What spot did you guys sit at having beer in the western cape??? That was stunning!
Thanks for checking it out, Swadha! This area is just off of the Chapmans Peak drive. There is a little rest stop with toilets, trees, and some picnic tables like those that we sat on. I believe there is a few along this stretch. You can't miss it if driving Champmans Peak.
Why i left Christianity ua-cam.com/video/I_btCVYm1IA/v-deo.htmlsi=QGcon4vNi3omCTUV And ua-cam.com/video/SdyyNimjYCs/v-deo.htmlsi=vFbcuRhXeHww9yEf
Thank you for introducing my country to the world ❤
Absolutely! I will be back to your beautiful country some day 😍
Cape town is safe for tourists???
In our experience, it certainly is. Follow the normal safety precautions when traveling to any place to prevent things like pickpocketing and avoiding scams, but we didn't experience any issues. There are some areas that are more tourist-friendly and secure than others such as Camps Bay, so I'd definitely aim to stay there or near De Waterkant which is where we stayed. But other than that, we generally went wherever we needed to during the day time and were just more cautious about that at night. It's one of the most beautiful cities in the world and a must-see!
The beach❤❤
Not too bad... 😜
🔥 'Promosm'
Great video.Table mountain the best
Thanks a lot, Ivan! They truly are stunning. Super enjoyable that you can gaze at them from most spots in the city.
Trully enjoying your video! We are going this August and your video gives us a lot of usefull infos! For Boulders Beach, to see the penguin up close, do we take right or left from the ticket office? THANKS!
Thanks so much for watching, Yen! At the first ticket office, you'll want to pass that to the right and go further down the road to the Southeast entrance. Once there, you will go left when you enter to get to the beach where you can walk on the beach with the penguins. Have a great trip!

Just got back and I couldn't stop looking up at the mountains. I drove the mountain pass out of Franschoek and was blown away! That place is the most stunning country I've ever seen.
I'm so glad to hear that! And I would have to agree. We live in Seattle now which has a lot of natural beauty, but it's hard to imagine there's a more picturesque big city in the world. If you find one, please let me know! 😁
