snoop
This is actually really quite 🤔🧐 beautiful and rhythmically wonderful. Slave is way way far far ahead of their time.
Ohhh so this is the song snoop was referencing
Gin and juice interpolation.
Gracias por compartir 👍 maximo respeto y mucha vibra positiva 😎
Thank you TAMMY 🌹🙏🏿
Such a sick intro and I really love this version. The rhythm is tight, the vocals and background instruments are just banging.
Mark Adams was an amazing bass player in an amazing band. Dude is doing what he wants to on that bass.
❤️👍🏻👏
You never can’t go wrong with the old school funk music from the group slave sho you right 5
SLAVE NICE
Amazing!
Odyssey’s producers did this and inside out! Damn near the same ! Both songs rock 🪨
Wonderful remix :-)
This was/is fire! In my youth, this was the first song played every time I jumped in the car, ready to go look for some ladies to watch. Can anyone else hear where Snoop Dogg got the melody for the gin & juice hook?
😊
Never Gets Old...Love it Now as Much as I Did When I First Heard It!👌🏾👍🏾👏🏽☝🏾💖
Life has shown that we hear and perceive, the world differently. A conversation was had with a classmate, during the Spring of 1978. It was a typical for the audience who have commented. That was a year after a gerry-mandering of local districts. That placed a border of an all-White district ten blocks south of the luxury apartment units. In which, our family of African American professionals lived. Along with a pair of children whose family were descendants of the Haitian aristocracy. That entered the city, during the 1950s. Ultimately, they were fleeced of much of the wealth. Which, they had. And, that district was aptly called 66. And, it be might aptly recorded that my presence polluted the lives of those White children West and North of there. Along with, positions taken by other Black professional families. Elsewise, the gerrymander might have effectively reestablished the segregation. Which had been hotly debated until the Spring of 1978. Yet, we had a gross misunderstanding. She said have you heard "slave"; and, my response was, "It was on the radio, yesterday!". She looked stunned. The response was, "By the way, it is "Slade". Which likely be a English term, like "lag", or a phrase like "Talley ho!", "sallie", or "eschine" and "equine", [a remanent of the brutal Roman occupation], and "scharfer".. Might such "an gentlemen" be a "rouge". "Fight on mine liege, agin thug and hooligan". Certainly, we fully-understand. What the miscommunicated message be. We, as a country, certainly have never changed. Interestingly enough, a parade of former klanswomen gave chase in pursuit of this former student-athlete. While attending secondary school and the university. And, one should never make a good man fall, whether a foreigner or countryman. Because, it ruins the community. And only, the hook was heard at that, at that time. That is the nature of innocent ears, "Slide, Slide, Slide" with the sound of the horns. That might be found on a tricycle One of those clownish-horns, with a "red" squeeze-bulb and coronet. Hatred never ceases nor harlotry. Toots Mc Fadden

This was at a time when the bassline could either make or break the song when it came to R&B.
