    I have 4 hives, 10 frame with frame feeders to make 8's, On top of limestone hill with 22 acres of juniper cedar, for AG exemption in Lampasas Flying S Ranch.. Having to feed pretty regular , lack of food. So really enjoy your videos with LOT's of GOOD info. Thinking I need to network. Any advice on anything?

    don't forget to keep the drivers up to date so the hive doesn't crash or BSOD (bee screen of death)

      Bee keepers don’t role out new bee drivers without first testing they interact well with the hive first.

    • @dustinolney3977
      @dustinolney3977 3 місяці тому

      @@KeepersHarvest I'm wanting to know why because recently I inherited a bee suit from my grandfather and I live in Catalina Arizona and they say all of the wild bees are Africanized bees and I swear up and down the very first colony that I removed was not Africanized but I personally have a beehive on the property that has been here for 3 years and so far I'm 99% positive they're Africanized due to their attitude but I have no desire to kill him so I'm wanting to learn how to work with them not be scared of them . And in the long run they're too scary for me then I will come to that conclusion myself instead of having people like the killer bee guy run his mouth non-stop on camera like they're a bunch of evil disgusting creatures that don't have a right to live when in fact they are benefiting our environment right now as we speak

    • @KeepersHarvest
      @KeepersHarvest 3 місяці тому

      Thanks fro the comment! No the Africanized bees bring is similar honey to other honey bees. It all depends on what the bees are foraging on and bringing nectar from. Sometimes we the honey from two hives in the same bee yard will taste and look totally different! It's pretty amazing!

    • @KeepersHarvest
      @KeepersHarvest 3 місяці тому

      Hey Thank you for your comment! Pretty crazy that they create those colors right? It really just depends on where the bees are getting the pollen from. The purple might be from a plant that has a specific compound called, anthocyanin. There isn't too much data on this, so it's kind of hard to tell. The bees collect pollen containing a whole spectrum of colors!
